Doc

You guys could help out a lot by buying season basketball tickets, and joining the Hardwood Club if possible.
Let's give him our support now that we are finally seeing a little light after the dark cloud of impending sanctions.
If he doesn't wow you in 2 years, get on the wagon to have him fired. Doc will surprise you guys.
I let my Hardwood dues slip last year, but I'm re-upping, and I'll be buying season tickets again like I did last season. If you ever wanted great seats for USM sports, here's your opportunity.

Pitching is decimated...

Being a realist, our season is doomed because of pitching injuries, and I don't see them working themselves out this season. This program can really go far, but not without more pitching. The 2011 fell flat in the regionals because a couple players decided not to make the grade at the worst time and there was NO pitching beyond the starters,,,

Instead of going around and po mouthing about how we don't have any money

let's start recognizing the positives of our U. For instance the wonderful work of Dr. Katherine Nugent, dean of nursing. She is melding that department into one of the best in the country. Incidentally, she is a big time supporter of the athletic program. Every time anyone tells me that we don't have enough money,I quickly ask them what are we gonna do about it. We,alumni most stop talking this way,our leaders need to stop talking this way.it is like a cancer eating at us.Investors, students and alumni do not want to be a part of an entity that is constantly telling its people that Southern Miss is broke. We simply have to get our thinking out of that mode.

The Keljin Blevins story as I understand it & BB news

As some of you know, Keljin lost his father year before last at a very young age, and they were an extremely close family.

A cousin or uncle plays for the Portland Trailblazers and recently signed a huge contract. He has basically adopted that whole family and is helping all of them move to Portland, including Keljins mom.

Keljin decided he wanted to be close to family and has an opportunity to transfer to one of the Portland Universities and not be several thousand miles from their new home.

Believe this to be factual but "can not guarantee it."

We are trying to sign a late grad juco and a graduated senior transfer but nothing for sure.
No word on Cary transferring.
