Well, it is the last game of the season, do the Eagles have anything left to send these 4 seniors out with a wn. MTSU has beat the Eagles 2 times this season. Well here we go.....

Stay tuned as I will be taking the road trip with the Golden Eagles to MTSU. Thanks to Coach Lander and staff, I will have unlimited access to the team and coaches while they prepare for the game. Well, we have made it to Murfreesboro and checked in. We are about to head to practice and then dinner. Even though it is the last game of the season, the Eagles are in really good spirits. Will have video and interviews from practice for you guys.

Former Southern Miss Sports Information Director Jimmy "Mississippi Red" McDowell has died. He was truly a legend both in the State of Mississippi and later nationally as the Executive Director of the National Football Foundation. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time.

Horrible loss to UTEP. It is simple; we do not have a basketball team. If anything proves it just ask anyone that listened to that game. Much is said about how tired the players are and how short of players we are. I don't buy it. The reason we are headed to the bottom is the fact we are pitiful However; if by some stretch of the imagination, we can beat Rice we will not finish last MTSU will. If we lose to Rice and MTSU wins out, it is a different story .Assuming we do not win another game which is highly possible. As you know I have kept up with the Battle for the bottom pretty much all year and now it is down to the short rows. The calculation that I am using has nothing to do with bonus play for a birth in the tournament but total wins and losses for all games played this season.

For all those who wanted Art Briles as an assistant here at Southern Miss, this is the first interview I have heard from him. This may make me think different of him. Very informative and interesting. A must listen....
