The end happened so fast. We were contesting the shot, he made it, it was contested, that is basketball.
I think we are improving, having a lot of chemistry, we have to keep practicing and getting better.
Playing at home helped out shooting. When we make shots we can play with anyone.
We have to take care of the ball better. We have to play with more confidence.

Pierre:
I learned today I can be a leader and step up there and make shots.
I was able to drive inside in the 2nd half and it opened out for other players.
I feel like we played great today. I have got to make those free throws. I just have to move on and continue to play netter.

Ladner:
That shot seemed like it came down from the rafters.
Pierre had a coming-out party today. He can be very special for Southern Miss. I was most proud they way he was guarding today.
We were gonna press and foul, but when Pierre missed the 2nd FT, we couldn't do that.
We lead for most of the game. I was proud of the guys. We continue to play well and get better.
USA has the best team we have played this season. I can see out growth and was proud of this team.
USA does a good job playing a zone defense. When we make outside shots, it opens up the inside.
We just get in such a hurry on offense we make mistakes. We have to play under control and take our time on offense. Tyler needs to settle down and hold on to the basketball and hit cutters to the basket.
We need to recruit some size, they were able to back us down in the paint and get some easy shots.
Artur is playing better, making some errors, we need him to be consistent, and play a little smarter.
The same shots we missed at Tulane, we made those tonight.
I think you saw tonight what could be our lineup for the rest of the season. Hardy and Johnson are both battling for that last starting spot.

Offense had a few turnovers, other than that , they looked their best of the whole year. Hats off to coach Billings for turning the defense(326 yds tonight) into the best unit on the field.
Kickoff return was the dagger 🗡 of the night for FAU making special teams a key contributor. We’ll be competitive next year and likely win a lot of games. But the greatest win of the week is Heath courageous and victorious battle to regain his ability to walk again unassisted. Hats off to you as well Heath!!!

Men's Basketball.

After the game with Jacksonville, I said it was impossible;e for a team to miss that many shots unless they were throwing the game. I see now they have hit rock bottom. I remember our HS basketball team was one of the worse in the Magnolia Conference, but there was never a game we played; we didn't score over 13 points by halftime. Last year, I called the team the"shock troops," but I thought this year we would be competing for our Conference title with all the hype. Where did we find these guys? Did anyone watch these guys play before we recruited them? I have been following basketball of all types for 50 years and have never seen anything like this. I have seen 8-year-old girl's teams shoot better. Could anyone that watched this game believe what they actually saw? What makes it so bad is the teams we have played were downright bad, and we couldn't beat but one of them?

I move, we shut down our program for at least two or three years until we can save enough money to hire a good coach and move to a conference we can compete fairly well. People that watched the game last night other than USM and Tulane fans most likely turned the game off at halftime. Many may have stayed tuned to call their friends and told them to watch this comedy show. This was embarrassing to our sports program.

It's been a tough year. "I ain't surprised at nuthin' ". Maybe a major earthquake or perhaps a giant solar flare burns off the top of our atmosphere. Maybe a zombie apocalypse.

But I'm gonna have a Merry Christmas, no matter what.
