The Golden Eagles look to get above the .500 mark for the first time in 2022.

USM already has 14 commitments. Look for them to sign around 30 overall this year. They will probably add 4 or 5 more HS players and the rest will be used on transfers and JUCO. An emphasis will be put on the LB and DB positions. I would also think some OL and QB might be an area of need.

Women have a really good shot at winning the SBC in first season of membership.

....I see the potential for him to become a good QB. He's just a Freshman and he will progress but,

1 It's a mortal sin to turn the ball over in scoring territory. Don't do it.
2 He's not reading the defense and doesn't know what he's looking at. This should come with coaching and experience.
3 He really has the tendency to overthrow. Many times to open receivers. May be that he's too pumped up but they should be able to coach this out of him.

We will have a full practice report out tomorrow. Not much to really talk about at this point. Nothing is official till the updated depth chart Wed.

Coach Hall:

1. Wilcke is taking snaps with the starters. Lange is the backup and Lowe is #3.

2. Lowe is #3 because of his performance. The other two have beaten him out with better practices.

3. Wilcke is going through a normal growing process as a Freshman. He is going through the process and his teammates need to play better.

4. Caston will probably be back this week.

5. Ty Keyes is out for the season.

6. Briason Mays is a little banged up but will probably play this week.

There are 5 or 6 Mississippi players in the game tonight, including Quez Watkins. All 24 starters on both teams introduced themselves and the school they represent. I think every MS player, including Quez, introduced themselves by saying their high school, not their college. Most of the other players gave their college. What’s up with that?

1. Wouldn't say who will be the starter. They will continue to work on that this week.
2. Even with 2 games in 10 days, they will not change how they approach practice this week. It will adjust next week. They are just too young to try and put something in for ULaLa right now.
3. There were 2 other questions but one was about the Texas State Fighting Armadillos QB throwing at least 1 INT a game. Will said he hopes he throws more than that, lol. The other question took the dude 4 minutes to ask and who knows what it was.
