Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that in football and basketball that transfers via the portal are continuously being address with the name of the school they left? It seems proper to mention that once in a broadcast but this continued reflections on their place of origin seems to take a back seat to the fact they are now a Southern Miss guy. It just grates me when, for the 10th time in the game, that Crowley is referenced as an OM product. I got it the first time....the 10th is just overkill.

Quarterback Recruiting

We now have three qbs committed for the 2023 team. They are Ethan Crawford, Austin Gonzales, and Holman Edwards. Two are freshmen to be (Crawford and Gonzales) and one (Edwards) is a portal transfer. With Lowe, Keyes, and Wilke with eligibility remaining I don’t see us devoting 6 scholarship to the qb room. I can’t help but feel like another shoe or two remains to drop but makes me curious.

Building some momentum

I feel like our athletic department overall finally has some positive momentum going for it. Baseball hosted a super regional, football is back in a bowl game, and basketball team is doing well. On top of it all we have a University President that is respected and knows the needs of the school. Feeling a little bit of hope as a USM fan, just can't help waiting for that TTT moment when it comes crashing back down.
