The team is now 12-7, 1-2 in SBC play. I went back and watched this weekend's series. Yes, at times there are 3 or 4 guys in the lineup who are at or near the Mendoza line (sub .200 BA), and pitching is Jekyll and Hyde. However, the one thing I noticed, even in the wins, there is no consistency at the plate. When I can watch a game live and know what the other team's pitches are to certain batters, the guys must notice too. At one point Sarge saw 5 straight curves in a bat and only 1 was an actual strike. When pitching knows they have to be perfect, they lose their looseness and press and start trying to aim and pitch perfect. Asking upperclassmen to do that is tough but this staff is young. They will get better, but until some guys figure out their approach at the plate, pitchers are going to press. That's my 2 cents, would love to know your thoughts....
