Just got email explaining the change with the tiebreakers......

Here is what i an told and will quote it for you so there is clarity (or am much as clarity as we will get)
The key word for me is adding, which, to me, means the rule was changed. Gotta love CUSA. I also asked if the vote was majority or unanimou, i have not got an answer about that. When I do I will update.

On Monday, our Athletics Directors clarified the “Two-team or multiple team tie for divisional champion” by adding “Highest average computer ranking” following “Highest CFP Ranking.”

Something Hop said in the presser yesterday...

is something I can't get off my mind. He said that he went for 3 instead of going for a TD with 4 min left because he was thinking about point differential and winning a championship. So OK, he didn't know how the tie breakers work, but shouldn't that be a contingency that you consider the whole week? This is what GA's are for!!!

We always talk about the team is getting better and more talented every year, and I do agree with that. Here is the question I put towards you all. We saw Fedora grow as a coach every year, IMO Monken grew as a coach every year, but has Hopson grown as a coach since he first arrived? Just like a team must get better, so must the coaches. I would love to hear you guy's thoughts.

Who got "the Breaks"?

I've been an Eagle fan since graduating in 1970 and can't remember ever hearing one of our coaches talk, after a loss, about the other team getting all of the breaks. I may be wrong, but I really can't recall hearing any coach from any other school speak of the other team getting all of the breaks. Of course, I may be wrong, but the truth is we got our asses kicked.

Quote from Jeremy McClain about the vote....

I think it is clear he voted against this.

“I was made aware of concerns regarding the C-USA division tie-breaker on Monday. While the adjustments are well-intentioned and reasonable, I expressed serious concerns over the timing of the changes on our conference call, and we were outvoted by the league’s membership. Our focus is now on moving forward and supporting our football student-athletes in a big game on Saturday.”

Questions for Heath

Heath, good evening. Quick question: have you requested a meeting with the new AD to discuss the current state of the football program? I’m interested in the following:

1. Is he content with Hop or would he say we expect to win & win big here?
2. What are his thoughts on our poor attendance the last 3 home games?
3. Would he give us the fans the value That we need to increase our giving to become more competitive with other G5 programs in regards to coaching salaries?

ON A Positive Note , I see our overall athleticism improving each year

and our classes are back to where they need to be for the first time in ten years probably. If we can add another good recruiting year I think it will show up on the field. For that reason I am for giving Hop another year. But it would be really nice to win Saturday

Just a few years ago if we had to play our third string Linebackers a majority of the game we would have gotten beat 48-0. I thought Maples really stepped up and will continue to improve.
