I know we have pitching machines, hitting coaches, cheerleaders, psychologists, and everything else.

But here is what you do :

Cut yourself an industrial mop handle to fit. (make a rock bat) Then have someone deliver you a big pile of rocks. (OR JUST FIND SOME...)
You have to toss up your own rocks, and you can't quit.

Toss up a rock and hit it with the mop handle. When you get to the point where you can hit 8-9 of 10 rocks, you will murder a baseball. You will have totally retrained your eye and your ability to get the bat on the ball.

Then any time you get in a slump, it's back to the pile no matter where you are. I promise you, when a slump comes, you won't hit the rocks either, but when you get on the rocks again, the baseball is ezzee'peezy.

But what it will do, is to train what happens in that instant you pull the trigger A 95 mph fast ball takes a little less that a half second to reach the plate. You need to be able to see the ball quickly and focus on it. You wouldn't pitch the rock upward but outward with a slight arc. It will focus your eyes on the ball.

Wear your batting gloves, no blisters or splinters, please.

Rock Batters for the win!!! ( and what a theme...Rock Batters, get it???)

Golden Eagle baseball shows "grit" in loss at Ole Miss

When Googling the meaning of grit, the definition of the word describes what Southern Miss baseball fans saw from the baseball team Tuesday night at Ole Miss. Per Google: Being a gritty person means that one tends to stick to their goals despite numerous issues, problems, setbacks and failures. The person has firmness of mind and unyielding courage.

Upcoming Football Thoughts or Predictions

Since thing are not really alive on the board, I thought I would throw this out. I have no Idea what the OL will be like next year Will the addition of Doss be a major factor? Assuming it will, can the running game drastically change with the addition of Gore and Ragsdale? Last year, the running game really depended on one guy and and it was apparent to opposing defenses. Adding Perkins and Mosley to the mix could be just what we need to be successful.

Linebackers: Adding Hopkins and Morrow could make a big difference in that position. We did have some serious losses there due to graduation and guys no longer on the roster. We do have some good returners with Boothe, Boze, Latham and Maples. This could be a big surprise next year.

Secondary: Will there be an improvement? I think we have some talent there and some played early and have gained experience Malik could be a big part next year. I am hoping the new coach will help toward improvement.

Kickers There is need for a punter and a guy with enough leg to hit the end-zone on KOs. FG kicking may be a strong point

NCAA one-time transfer exemption..

Interested to hear y'all's thoughts on this:

NCAA "moving quickly" to allow a one-time transfer exemption in all sports without sitting out a year.

One P5 coach was quoted saying "They're going to be our G-league. They'll be our 'amateur league where we draw players from. Every kid wants to play in the Power 5."

Will this hurt us as bad as it sounds? Or will it help us because it would allow the kids buried in the depth chart at those top programs who want to compete immediately? Lots of factors to consider. The transfer portal has already become a more common issue in recent years.

IMO, I don't think the NCAA would consciously do anything that hurts the Money 5.

Does this widen or narrow the gap?
