When did this guy run track for Southern Miss?

If I understand the information in the article he would have run track at Southern Miss before playing football at JCJC. I am just trying to figure out what year or years. The official site does not have a lot of archived info on the track team.

Alcorn State at Southern Miss game

I saw a bunch of posts in the Duggan thread talking about how that was in 2013 and we were at our lowest ever, one year after ELoss, etc. Here's the problem with that, the game took place in 2014. A year we would've gone bowling (my opinion, but you all know it looked likely) had Mullens not been injured. This was before his injury (game #2). Now the game might have been an early game aberration, like Texas State last year, but it wasn't USM at it's worst. It was a solid game by the players and coaches of Alcorn State. I'm glad JHop lost that one, and I hope he never loses another one!

Let's not start jumping on J.H....

We loyal supporters of Southern Miss football have lost another fine coach, this time to the pro's. I'm happy for Southern Miss because professional football saw the same quality in our head coach as we did and that means we hired one heck-of-a coach. As an old guy who has set in the rain at ball games when we had only ten thousand loyal supporters, I hope all of the guys and gals of Big Gold Nation will give J.H. (just realized same initials as mine) the benefit of any doubts that he knows exactly what he's doing. He's certainly already after some of the best football players in the south. I'm on board!

Thread Lock

Been a member since 2003 and actually way before that. It seems like there was two boards I was on before you every got involved and before rivals ever took over. Have often wondered how anyone had an earlier sign up date than me because I've progressively joined each board but that's beside the point.
This is the first time I can remember disagreeing with your choice of action. It seems to me the board is for all opinions not to to be locked at the first sign that the thread is going off on a bad tangent. You've locked some that after a wholesale discussion went in a completely, IMO, wrong direction. Had no problem with that and I agree that my opinion hasn't been on the same page with some posters today but it seems like we as members should get to make that decision with the ignore button or by simply skipping over posters we know we aren't going to agree with. Just seemed quick on the draw to me and I'm someone that likes to make my own decisions.
I know it's a hard choice , can't please everyone but we're presumably all grown men and women. Just hate to see the board go in this direction

Cimaglia affirms So Miss commitment

Southern Miss' lone commitment to the '17 recruiting class, Brent Cimaglia, pledged his services to the Eagles long before Todd Monken departed for the NFL.

The past few months have been a roller coaster for him as much as anyone else. This past week he had the opportunity to talk with newly hired Southern Miss head coach Jay Hopson and reaffirm his commitment to the Eagles.

To the board

I apologize for hurting anyone's feelings. I am a firm believer in doing things the right way. I am not proud of the way Southern Miss is doing business.
I will continue to voice my opinion, but I will extend you all the courtesy of doing it elsewhere.
I really do not care for some of you personally anymore, but I love you for supporting my school.
Keep fighting for Southern Miss.
Peace.

Commentary on Negative Ned Fan

"Pardon me. I see that your passion for USM is profoundly strong, but is that poop in your BigGoldNation.com pocket?"

SPCA Certification:
If complaining on BGN prevents the kicking of puppies or clubbing of baby seals,
We collectively should support continued poo-spew and the free expression of verbal sewage. A-holes; everyone has one. What's the harm in providing periodic chat board proof that I keep mine in proficient working order?

It's a free country:
Cheers to our rights to keep pockets full of emotional poop that we can pull out and show everybody in cyber land. You are viewed by what you show people.
Stinky people are just more honest, perhaps.

Inspired tolerance for dealing with Mr. StinkyPants:
If continued negativity seems a chore, imagine having to live with these folks. Positive spin: we don't have to live with them and that's freaking awesome! LM invented an "ignore button" to aid in our olfactory survival.

Science:
Keeping your passion poop at finger's distance in your pocket, although convenient, does affect interactions and relationships. Occasionally, the effect is not positive. But, when you constantly poo flash the masses, that takes the experience to a whole new scale.

Curiosity:
Do only Sally Sunshines seek organized poop-free pocket pals? Or, is it just normal to ask people to keep the "turd life" private?

Possible corollary:
Promoting passion over poo makes the world a smell better society. Consider keeping the ca-ca collection in the pot, and NOT in the pocket.
