Losing to #1 Ranked Texas on Sunday night in the 9th inning on ESPN, walked the winning run in was the most excruciating moment of my love for my Eagles.

According to Warren Nolan, the conference is sitting at 4th in RPI as of tonight. I know it's too early for RPI to be of much significance, but I think that's noteworthy. Also, only the ACC and SEC have a higher winning percentage so far. And all this with Rice off to a slow start.

Looks like the weather will be fine for tonight's matchup. Tomorrow at home looking like rain so need to win this one.

.....not sure if you guys know, but Homecoming 2016 is 10/29 against Marshall, as recently voted on by the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

USM softball will be hosting Southeastern Louisiana Tuesday night at 6 pm at the softball field. This is also Diamond Club Appreciation Night. Freddie Triplett will be grilling hamburgers on the deck (a.k.a. Left Field Lounge) for us. Hope to see y'all there!

Folks, I attended first the ELI 91-92 and then Southern Miss from 94-98. Ive been trying to remember who was the wbb's head coach and the stars of those teams. I remember we had an all time scorer in the early 90's and then the awesome team that made the ncaas and lost to Lobo's Connecticut after being ahead most of the game. I remember the point guard for that team but not her name, she was awesome. Could any of you all help me? HC and the stars of those teams. Thanks

Just curious why Southern Miss, did not offer Savannah Jones from St. Martin. I dont say it too often, but I feel we missed the boat on her. Other than Christa Reed and Brook Rhodes, she is the best "shooter" I have seen in Mississippi the last 4 or 5 years. At a true 6'0 (without shoes on) she would have caused a lot of issues playing small forward (for opposing teams), but she signed with USA. Her defense needs work, but her rebounding, killer instinct, mixed with shooting is better than any guard on our roster.

Her shot selection reminds me of Curry, questionable at times, but never gets questioned because she makes over 50% of them...during the game. Login to view embedded media
Video is when she was a sophomore. I know JLM knows whats best for her team, but dang she is a good one, that I have followed pretty close since her 8th grade year.
