The Ostrander era has started, what will be his first moves...

Oss has 2 positions he will fill. The NCAA approved another paid assistant for baseball. Oss's position is now open. Who fills those positions and what roles will they have. I could see Bradford move up from Ops to pitching coach with Oss still working with pitchers and calling pitches. What he does after that is a mystery so we shall see.... What moves do you think he should make?

Rumors swirling that selecting Hattiesburg for a super regional

Will go down as one of the worst decisions in sports history.

The fans have embarrassed themselves, their state, and to some extent, the human race with their behavior. There is no water or services. The weather is inhospitable. There is calamity and human suffering in every direction.

There was discussion of moving game 3 to Knoxville but everyone decided to suffer through one more game in “America’s oozing hemorrhoid” and will deal with the PTSD later.

Just passing along the scoop since it’s about to become a major headline.

What a baseball season...

A total of 6 pitchers, an infielder who was productive, a CF who was even more productive gone, and this team was one win away from Omaha. 2 years in a row hosting a Super Regional. No one thought this team would be that good. I thought if they get to 40 wins and make a regional, it was a success. They went far beyond that. Finished 2nd in first year in SBC, won the tournament, put out host Auburn and won their regional, and almost made it to Omaha.

Berry walks off into a deer stand, fishing boat, or turkey blind and leaves the program in grat hands with Coach Oss.

Does this one hurt, sure, but the Sun will rise tomorrow and football is up next. Time to get ready for Golden Eagle football in year 2 of the SBC.

Year 1 in the SBC was a success, can't wait to see what year 2 holds!!!

Future football schedules

I was looking at a website that lists future football schedules and it says we’re supposed to play Memphis in 2027 and 2030. Will 2027 be the first time we’ve played them since they left CUSA? I’m wondering if, since it’s been so long since the two schools played each other in football, if the kids who are students at both schools in 2027 will treat it as a rivalry game or even care about it beyond the usual “I care about any game my team plays in” level of excitement they’d get for any average game. Older fans will obviously know it as a resumption of the Black and BlueGame, but for someone who would be a freshman at either school in 2027, this might be the first time since they were in kindergarten that the two schools played each other in football
