The teams are going down from 80 to 53 so a lot of players will be cut between now and the end of business Tuesday. Some of these players will be re-signed to practice squads.

Looking at the stats the game was closer than the score indicated. However Florida State did lead in every stat even with the long 75-yard pass TD LSU made in the final minutes.

Looks like the Pac 12 will survive. Reports are out that the AAC will vote to dissolve and 11 schools will move to the Pac. Charlotte, Navy and Tulsa will be left behind. Pac will invite Boise, Colorado St and San Diego St. from MWC. Start date for this will be 2025.

Wonder if Tulsa and Charlotte will ask to rejoin CUSA? I suspect Navy will go back to Indy status.

....when you don't include the Tight End position in your offense, I think you're missing something. It's become an important position in college and pro football. There were more really good tight ends in college ball last year than I have ever seen. I really think Hall needs to take a hard look at this.

I do not really want to pay more for cable but hopefully, something can be worked out. Those of us using Charter Spectrum, like me, just lost all ESPN channels including the ACC Network and the SEC Network. The timing is bad and probably no accident that it happened at the beginning of the college football season. The next 2 Southern Miss football games after the Alcorn State game are scheduled to be on the ACC Network and ESPNU.

This is a situation in which USM will face tougher competition in practice as to what they will face on the field tomorrow. Will there be some nervousness? Absolutely!!! However, this game should not be close and if it is, then Vegas may be right about 5.5 wins in 2023.
