Armstrong: Making 1.1 million as DC at Florida. He may want to be a head coach more than we wants another couple hundred grand but who know. Also Napier may not be around at Florida much longer so job security could also sway a decision to come be a HC.

Austin Davis: does he want to grind, quite the OC job at Auburn before he even started, but I do wonder if alot of that had to to with the dysfunction of the program.

Kendall Briles: making 1.25 million as OC at TCU but again does he need to get those Head Coaching reps in before the P5 job comes calling.

Charlie Weiss Jr: making 1.4 million at Ole Miss but same as Kendall Briles does he need to step down to get HC experience.

Larry Fedora: is he done with coaching?

Often, a boxer will rise from the canvas semi-consciously and ask, “What happened.” In like manner, the question manifests itself after a severe accident. USM fans were undoubtedly perplexed by the question late Saturday night.

Many expected an excellent season capped by a bowl appearance; however, a losing season may be on our doorstep. What went wrong?

Losing Armstrong was a significant blow, and a competent successor was not hired. We lost many good defensive players to graduation and injury.

The team is as lifeless as a cat in its ninth life. No fire, no excitement as compared to the bowl-winning players. Unbelievable.

Coaches make blunders on every level.

It will take a great deal of work to right this ship, and it must begin with the players' attitude. Things must change quickly if any kind of a successful season is to be had.

The story says that 2 billboards were put up in Mobile disrespecting South Al and Mobile. They had USM logos. Wommack heatedly called out the billboards postgame. Please tell me these were not sponsored by the University. If so, it is one of the most classless things I’ve ever seen. We need to know who’s responsible for this and appropriate action taken. Sports teams rise and fall, but this type of classless behavior is not acceptable.

How many starters were out for the USA game and how many starters will be out for the next game?

I hope we win 4 more games but hope is overrated. Hope never counts for anything. Once one gives up hope, things get better, and there is no more anxiety

Sitting here lamenting the current state of our football program after attending the Mobile Massacre last night and wondering how we’ve fallen so far behind in competitiveness and facilities. Night and day between South’s new stadium and ours while staring at their IPF. They were 3-3 and still had a decent crowd. Two programs going in opposite directions. We would be lucky to draw a few thousand if we hosted a Tuesday night game. We’ve become what OM was in the early 80’s when I attended USM and they spoke of the glory days of the 60s in that we speak of the 80s/90s. Fast forward and they’re top ten and we’re bottom ten. Sure, money is a huge factor in that we have very little. Unfortunately, given our bottom barrel budget we needed home run coaching hires to make up the difference. Since Monken we pretty much soiled our bed in hires. Subpar administrators bringing in subpar athletic directors has resulted in the total irrelevancy of our once respected program. I watched a team last night with no pride or effort get totally dismantled by a team that didn’t exist until 2009. That’s a bitter pill to swallow.
I will still attend games to visit with friends but my expectations for on the field success in the future have evaporated. I have no solutions other than my winning the Powerball and benevolence.

I turned the TV off at half-time and haven't had a chance to see the recording. I had a doctor's appointment today, but tune in tomorrow for "Tell it like it is."

If WH didn't come up with some offense that works as a result of the closed practice, and we suffer another embarrassing loss. What next? Could it be the players will be so demoralized that we do not win another game? Has the AD talked to him about relinquishing playcalling?

A lot of questions may be answered with a win. WH will not be fired but maybe some of the coaches? Only time will tell. The biggest question is will Clawed watch the game?

IS it coaching or talent evaluation or something else. Several outside sources say we have and are recruiting well. But sometimes I look out there and we look small or slow and qb running in a direct sprint away from an almost immediate rush trying to find an open receiver that is blanketed all over the feld. We all agree we have had a lack of imagination in play calls. I guess what I am saying is do we have good players that aren't being utilized appropriately or have we misevaluated the talent level of these guys. Just wondering. I hate to start all over again. I guess what hurt the most was how flat we were playing what should be our biggest conference rival . It looked like men and boys at times and has a few times this year. I remember one time an old Ball player telling me when I a team plays like that with lack of effort and desire they want the coach fired. But I don't believe that. I just don't know. This is tough.

I know we don’t have the money for a buyout. So we’ve been told. But we found it when we needed it post 2012. Are we at that point? I think we might be.

I’m not someone who wants to fire a coach every time the other team scores, every time we lose, or even a couple losses in a row. But enough is enough. I think I’ve seen enough to come to that conclusion. We all have. I don’t even have to bullet point reasons why, it’s right in front of our face. Once the defense forgot how to defense a few games back, we have had basically zero positives.

It looks like we’ve quit on Hall. Once that happens, there’s no going back. Players aren’t going to un-quit in 2024. Nobody on this roster will play for Hall in 2024.

In 2013, we were really bad, but they never quit on Monk and stole one the last game of the year. And look what Monk built by just 2015. I don’t think Hall can do that.

I do believe that Will Hall is trying to be the worst coach since EJ. I do believe he is already there. EJ was just horrible, but Will is a pretender that hasn't got a clue. We are so embarrassed to even be on the field our season is now over. We need to move on, and quickly.

The line opened at USA -15.5, but people were jumping on them to cover, so now it is at -17. I am going to take USM and the 17 points. Actually, I am thinking of a WIN outright.

No big changes from last week. However, with as secretive as they have been, I doubt this is what we see on offense Tuesday night.

Look, I like Hall and wanted him to succeed, but the sample size is enough to know it isn't working.

Was the schedule harder? Sure, but even with a harder schedule losing to teams like Arky State and ODU are inexcusable.

3rd and goal from the 10 amd you run a jet sweep against a team who drops 8, rushes 3, into a condenced field. Terrible!

1st and goal from the 5, and in 4 tries you can't get it in on a defensive front without 4 starters. Terrible.

They are throwing deep all night and you are shorthanded in the secondary and leave your DB's on an island all night. Terrible

You use timeout #2 on 4th and 1 to just decide to punt the ball when the Punting unit was on the field. Terrible! That might would have helped late in the game.

Gore 29 attempts for 66 yards, 2.3 yards per attempt. Clark 7 rushes 39 yards, 5.6 parts per attempt, but he doesn't touch the ball a lot in 2nd half. Terrible!

Terrible decisions after terrible decisions, game after game, Hall's pride needs to take a hit and give up playcalling. Go to the Superback, put another blocker in and try that. The best offense Hall has coached doesn't have a QB in it, let that sink in.

Discussions should have been had tonight after the game, but Jeremy is well known to let contracts run out, Hall has 2 more seasons after this. So buckle up, we are on a runaway truck down a mountain that ain't stopping no time soon.
