What kind of crowd was on hand for the first game of the year, and was the bullpen seating a sellout?

The Southern Miss baseball team won their first game of the season by the score of 6-0. This is the way most thought they would win games this season, with sound pitching, timely hitting and great defense. It was the script skipper Scott Berry thought this team will have to use to win games and claim their 4th CUSA Championship in 5 years.

Eagles

I thought we were supposed to hear by now

It was a great win for the Eagles last night. As of now, there are 3 teams tied at 4 and 9. What ever happens, we will not finish last but a USM win and a loss by Rice and UTEP will insure the Eagles of a 3rd from the bottom position. Rice plays Charlotte at home, UTEP plays Marshall at home and we play Florida Int away. That will make it tough. None of these teams can jump to a higher position because UAB is at 6 and 7. These games may make a difference in the Conference championship. That is the way I see thing now but I may be wrong.

Does Baseball publish a Media Guide or Game Notes?

If so::: where?
If not::: anyone want to take a shot at a probable lineup or two deep depth chart?

Via his twitter account, he has entered the portal. This one is the worst yet because he was a key piece to the Golden Eagle Defensive Line this past year and moving forward. This hurts.....

Well it is great to be back at RGC to watch some Golden Eagle basketball. Here is to a big win (Eagles play up to competition and they had a really good shoot around earlier today) and getting into the top 12 to make the CUSA Tourney!!!!

If the Eagles can manage to average 4 to 5 runs a game this season, then I think with the young talent in place, difficulty of schedule, then this team can win 40 plus games maybe somewhere around 44-46. These young Eagles will be grown up by the time the Tourney comes around in Biloxi, they win the Tourney and make it 5 years in a row to a Regional. So what say all of you?

Savanna Wood pitched 5 no hit innings and recorded 10 K's for her 2nd win of the season. The ladies won 9-0. Oh and she is a Freshman. Eagles now 4-1 on the season.
