Gianfranco Grafals (21) Guard/Forward - Prior to Eckerd: Spent last season at Florida State College at Jacksonville...started all 21 games, averaging 17.0 points
Kirk McCarty earned his 4th win for Cleveland in that 15-inning marathon late Saturday, striking out 3 in the final 3 innings (He faced Matt Wallner in the 14th, fly out).
Nick Sandlin went 2/3 IP so all 3 Golden Eagles saw the field.
There was no mention of USM's game in the paper at all. Front page was all Ole Piss, and Jackson State. Page 2and 3 full pages on Jackson State and Ole M. We didn't even get a mention, except to go on line to see what we did. Also they list all the scores from Sat games and we weren't even mention. My subscription runs out in one more month and I will not renew.

Well, it looked like Chris Robinson from Jones was going to be the choice then at the last minute he decided to stay at Jones. So they are looking. The front runner I hear is former Memphis HC Natalie Pool who resigned after this past season in which she was 9-14 and Memphis hasn't had a winning season since 2018. We shall see what happens.
There were significantly more people tonight than for Liberty. Very impressed with the very full and rambunctious student section, dancing and having a ball. Very impressed with how into the game the whole crowd was - I looked up one time it was 40-0 and the crowd was very loud and enthusiastic. Very encouraged- If we start making a little noise as a team this thing could take off.
Keyes was back at practice today. He and Wilcke split reps with the #1's. The coaching staff is supposed to name a starter tomorrow but Hall didn't rule out playing 2 QB and splitting time. It may be a tryout situation for both Saturday.
1. It will do the team good to have got the win and perhaps it will carry momentum for them into their game with Tulane.
2. The GodenEaglws did what you are supposed to. When you play a tomatoes can that has been thrown across the store and dented up, you should dominate in every phase of the game.
3. QB situation is still not solved. I don't think you can take this past game and think you have an answer.
4. Play calling was different for each QB. I still don't understand trying to get Wilcke outside the pocket. That is Keyes game. Wilcke is more of a pocket passer who can run, Keyes is more mobile. Keyes is good in the RPO.
5. Defense was great, but that Demon OL wouldn't make Tulane's practice squad. Nor would any of their backs and receivers, except one WR.
6. Kicking was solid in all aspects.
7. Tulane is a season making game, to me. Win this and you set yourself up for a bowl. Lose, and it may be difficult to get 6 wins.
