Have not been able to find the cutoff time but it’ll be at least 11:30 start for Southern Miss if they play tonight.

Anyone in Houston could tell you that this was a terrible hire from the word "go". Some athletic departments have to learn the hard way. Speaking of learning the hard way, MVSU let go of their baseball coach recently. Even they couldn't ignore that their baseball had lost 40 consecutive games, having not a single win since 2019! BTW I would love to know how much money he made? Because I'm afraid it might actually be less than I make as a public school teacher(which isn't much). I couldn't find a salary for him, but I think the head football coach made only around 75k.

It is 9:50 PM central time and the 4th game has not even started yet. This seems to happen every year. I know locations with multiple fields are not common. Maybe have a 6 team tournament with only 3 games on the first day is the answer.

Has the extended time off between the last game played by the Eagles negatively impacted the team.

How do you think the team will start this game, e.g. a little rust/slow....

MTSU and Aaron Brown were in control of #16 Charlotte the whole way in game 2. Blue Raiders scored 1 in the first and never looked back. Aaron Brown threw 7 innings of 3 hit, 2 run ball and Charlotte never threatened the big inning.

Goes to show that anyone can win this thing.

Louisiana Tech and UTSA getting set to go in about 10 min - which puts Southern Miss starting around 9:30ish if all goes well.

Yes, there is a lot of P5 propaganda in this, but the numbers are right on. This is made by Matt Wyatt and really does a good job explaining how the 11.7 scholarships in baseball works. Funny that the only mention of USM is by Rick Cleveland

Would you rather be a NCAA Regional host site with 1. USM 2. Ole Miss/FSU 3. South Alabama/Fairfield 4. Jackson State/New Orleans. Or would you rather be a 2 seed at East Carolina or Pittsburg with much easier opponents? With schools like 3. Liberty/Arizona State 4. Wright State/Virginia Commonwealth?

If the Eagles end up hosting, that is what will probably happen. What would you all prefer?
