First of all this USM team is legit. I've been conditioned as a USM fan for a big let down, but this time the best happened.

Secondly, let's talk LSU. Did USM just beat them twice in 24 hours? USM's all time record is terrible versus LSU. Not taking away from USM, but I'm glad we caught them at the right time and at home because we all saw what it took to squeak past them. LSU even without the average pitching still played gritty and determined with hit after freaking hit. I think they made costly errors at the worst time. It took a lot of things to go wrong for LSU and a lot to go right for USM just to even the playing field. This LSU team with even average pitching would've hosted their own regional and won it.

We'll this helps to make up for all those losses in Metarie at Zephyr field.

USM's pitching got it done when they had too and really made me a believer.

Last but not least I love the canoe paddle. My only guess as to its meaning is after losing the first game to LSU, USM felt they "were up a creek", but they DID have a paddle(pitching).

Two more to Omaha!

I had to merely listen to John call the game on radio. He did a great job. The end of the game was hyped. All my friends here in NC of course could watch it and were texting me it was the most exciting game they have seen in a long time. Love this team and our fans! I’m thrilled to be a Golden Eagle.

We played a great game until the ninth…in the ninth we had two outs and I had a text ready to send to my EAGLE buddies with the quote “SWEET VICTORY “; then we had three batters with two strikes and could not get a strikeout, groundout or fly ball out. Needless to say, I never got the chance to hit the send button on my text. So Very frustrating. But today is a new day and I’m still big Southern Miss fan. GO EAGLES! Beat Kennesaw and let’s take two from LSWho.

Miami was eliminated from their Regional by Arizona tonight. Arizona plays Cold Piss tomorrow and has to beat them twice to advance to Super Regional which we will host when we beat LSWho tomorrow. Potentially we could have Cold Piss coming to The Pete next weekend to see who goes to Omaha.

Anyone heard if we are home or visitor this afternoon?

I assume LSU goes with Hilliard who only threw 50 or so pitches Friday. I would think we start with Stuart or use Hall for an inning to try and set the tone. What are y’all’s thoughts. Think if we can chase Hilliard we will have a shot just need to get to their pen. Looking at his recent starts he is either on and only gives up a couple runs or he does pretty bad not really consistent over the end of the season. Here is hoping he has a rough outing.
