With 9 teams with 6 or more wins and 7 bowls, someone could be staying home unless there is an at large invite. In addition to that, if LA Tech beats UTSA, they will also have 6 wins so we have a total of 10 bowl eligible teams in CUSA. I remember there was a season under Bower where we were eligible and I believe it was ECU who got an invite to I think Mobile over us, and man was he hot.

2001 after losing to TCU USM didn't go bowling. TCU got to play A&M in the last football game in the Astrodome. USM also stayed home in 1996 after going 8-3 and beating UGA shortly after the Olympics ended. The dependable USM was torched by UH in OT and it was a TTT moment before TTT was an official term.

I believe we pick up some bowls where other teams from other conferences can’t fill the spot. But we won’t have at the end of the season the lowest winning record in the conference so we will go bowling.

La Tech is going to get the NO Bowl. USM is a better traveling team in this conference so we will go bowling.

Given how many bowl games there are nowadays (I truly believe they're mostly created by ESPN to fill programming space) and not enough teams with winning records to fill all of those slots, CUSA having too many bowl eligible teams won't be a problem

Too many bowls out there for sure, but it's good for the players, fans and schools to get that extra game. For conferences like CUSA, if there weren't so many bowls and bowl tie ins, we'd be lucky to get two teams in a bowl each year.
