The Eagles are without Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown, who tweaked a hamstring in Friday's practice and was ruled out Sunday, but have plenty of offensive playmakers in quarterback Jalen Hurts, receiver DeVonta Smith and running back Saquon Barkley, making his home Eagles debut.

Eagles vs. Falcons takes place at 8:15 p.m. in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field. It pits the Eagles against quarterback Kirk Cousins remarkably for the third straight year in Philly in Week 2 in primetime. This time however, Cousins leads the Falcons, signing in free agency after six seasons on the Minnesota Vikings.

The Eagles have had Cousins' number recently, winning last year in Week 2 on Thursday night, 34-28, despite four pass TDs from Cousins, and won 24-7 on Monday night in 2022's Week 2. But he now has Bijan Robinson to hand off to.

Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season comes to a close tonight with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles opened their season in Brazil with a 34-29 win against the Packers. The Falcons, meanwhile, suffered an 18-10 loss to the Steelers. Headed into tonight's game, the odds favor the Birds at their home opener over Atlanta. Are you ready to tune in? Eagles legend Jason Kelce won't be snapping the ball, like he has for the past 13 seasons, as the Eagles play their first home game at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

But the longtime Eagles' center will be nearby as an analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast. That's one of the ubiquitous Kelce's new gig after he retired from the Eagles in the spring. He's expected to be broadcasting live from the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field.

The game will also be nostalgic because the Eagles will be honoring one of Kelce's teammates in Nick Foles, who played for the Eagles from 2012-14 and again from 2017-18. Foles announced his retirement from the NFL last month. Foles, of course, is most known for filling in for injured quarterback Carson Wentz and leading the Eagles to their only Super Bowl victory in the 2017 season.
