The softball Diamond Club

is making things happy for Coach Wendy Hogue and her softball program. Under the leadership of Mike Arrington,President of the club, things are really happening at the softball complex. The club has already gained 40 new members for this year and the membership drive will go full blasts starting in January.Projects already completed this year are the expansion of the left field deck and the painting of the deck. This deck is for Diamond Club members and potential Diamond Club members, beautification of the grounds by planting flowers and creating new flower beds. Projects in the works are beautiful signage both outside and inside the stadium. New furniture and carpet for the girls lounge and dressing area and a trophy case to showcase our past successes in softball. The club has great people involved in making this happen in both time and money. To pull everything off we need your support. The softball program is totally dependent on people like you and me to achieve a national championship. We have the greatest coach in America to get us there, and she will,we just have to give her the funds to do it. Please consider joining the Diamond Club. The starting level is $100.00 single,$150.00 couple. Our softball program needs your help tremendously.Join, and come join us at the WENDY! Thank you. Bill Doherty

What about Kwadra Griggs?

I've never witnessed on our board such little chatter about a player with this type of physical talent. Barring an injury it looks doubtful Tyler Matthews will take the mantle from Nick Mullens, so Griggs is the heir apparent, and if Matthews transfers, which some say is likely, Griggs is the definite number 2. He may need some coaching but the size, mobility (not particularly fast but nimble and bull strong) arm strength and accuracy is unquestionable. Bowl ticket sales

read where we had sold over 2000 thru our ticket office and are hoping to get over 3000 in attendance, plus a nice contingency of alumni from that part of TX.
Heard the Bowl asked us to sell 1000 military tickets and we have only sold about 500.

Would be nice to hit that 1000 total. Most on here have probably already bought, but if not, military tickets are only $25 and can be bught and donated on line.

Small price to pay to make USM look good to the bowl as well as say thanks to a member of our armed forces.

Hope to see many of you in Dallas
