They want a downfield threat for Brady. I think our Pro Day will be well attended because he is a real value pick.

Wins against good RPI teams are important, and just playing them really helps the SOS.
Both Troy and Mich State are top 11 RPI teams today and South AL is strong as well.

Winning 3 of 5 would help us, 4 of 5 would be awesome.

This weekend:

WKU won the Georgia Tournament defeating Cincinnati, So. Alabama and Georgia to go 5-1 on the year.

FAU moved to 7-0 by sweeping LIU. Have already beaten Miss State twice in Starkville...

ODU moved to 6-1 on the year winning 3 of 4 this week droping one game to Va Tech. Holds a win over NC State.

UTSA moved to 5-2 going 3-1 on the week.

La Tech moved to 5-2 on the year, they won 3 of 4 this year including home win over #6 ranked ULL.

Charlotte won 3 of 4 this week, moved their record to 4-3 on the year.

Rice is 3-4 on the year and have a late game tonight against ULL, but they've played the toughest schedule in the country so far...

A friend of mine who worked with Burroughs and Berry under Corky said that he talked to Burroughs after the game. Come to find out, the Ump and Burroughs actually know each other. He said Burroughs told the Umpire to eject him. Not a word for word quote, but he said that he was tired of watching this sh**! Lol. He said that trying to get us out 1-6 reminded him of the Cook/King era... Ejections are one of my favorite parts of baseball

Just saw interview of John Cox with Jay, and was very pleased that he was specific in saying that Southern Miss is where he wants to be, and there will be no more moving for him. Won't it be great for the old (and young) long time, die hard supporters of Southern Miss if Jay is very successful here and is here for the long haul. Look at all of the good and great years when we have cheered, along with the years that we have felt (and were) defeated mainly because of having to constantly exchange a very successful coach with a "hopeful" one. I feel that Southern Miss had finally found another Jeff Bower who will lead us to even higher goals in Southern Miss football. Count me in!

I guess all of the other games in the tournament went long as i do not think there was rain in Gulfport today.

Believe it is April 23--naturally the weekend of my 50th HS reunion.
Haven't been to a reunion in last 25 years but need to be at this one cause my classmates are getting old and dying too fast. Obviously I haven't aged and will look like the youngest one there
