Everyone realizes the effect injuries played in our 3-9 football season. Our secondary was wiped out, forcing WRs to step in as replacements. Now, injuries to basketball players have caused us a conference championship. Is it just bad luck or something else? Heath has mentioned nutrition has been one reason for so many injuries, and I have said it is also conditioning and improper warm-ups. Having had a torn Achilles on one leg and a ruptured Achilles on the other while playing adult soccer, I know the value of proper stretching.

We must have a medical/Sports expert come in and consult regarding this matter. The problem is costing us wins regarding each sport. We need to find out if there is something we can do or if it is just bad luck.

Hello Hardwood Club!

Would anyone be interested in a bus trip to either the South Alabama game on Wednesday, February 28 or the Lafayette game on Friday March 1?

Our New Associate Athletic Director has priced buses for us, and we could only do this if we have enough people to fill the bus. We would need at least 50 passengers to make a bus trip affordable for everyone. Note, there is no profit built in, just trying to cover the cost of the bus.
* Wed night to Mobile, bus would cost $2,100 - approximately $40 - $45 per person. (1.75 hour ride)
* Friday night to Lafayette, bus would cost $2,800 - approximately $50 - $55 per person (3.5 hour ride)

Bus would depart from and return to Reed Green, likely leaving around 2 pm and returning after game (around midnight from Mobile or 1 am if Lafayette). Game tickets and any food would be separate expense and everyone would be on their own for game tickets and meal.

If you are interested, please respond to this email by Tuesday, February 20. Let me know the following:
* Your name(s)
* How many seats on bus you would want
* Which game(s) - South AL (Wed, 2/28) and/or Lafayette (Fri, 3/1) you would be able to ride bus

This is not limited to Hardwood Club, so if you have friends who may be interested in a bus trip, please share this information. If by chance we get more interest than one bus will hold, we will make sure all interested Hardwood Club members get priority.

Hoping we can get a big enough group to make a bus trip possible to one of these games. Knowing these are weeknights and not everyone lives in Hattiesburg, it will be a longshot to get a big enough group, but let's give it a try. I will confirm by Wednesday, Feb 21 whether we have enough people to make a bus trip and to which game.

My daughters birthday is February 24 and is wanting to go to any of the games that weekend. Feb 23-25. My wife would go with her if she can get two if not she will go by herself. I am not able to go. If anyone has tickets against Missouri State for that weekend I would appreciate it. My daughter did graduate from USM and is a real fan. 601-260-6569 Ron or text or call. After a fight on the bench that saw Dom, Cornfield, Gray, and Leake, and only 1 ASU player, the Lady Eagles finished the game with only 8 players and won 57-48. Heck of an effort. Got the lady's record to 14-10, 7-6 now.

First game: beats 2023 tourney team George Mason 26-0 to start the 2024 season. The aqua sand chickens are off to a quick start.

Ts is a bad basketball team, but we have had our woes against poor teams. Considering the Eagles will probably be without Ivory, Cubelo, and maybe Hart, the game should be close. I expect the Eagles will come away with a victory; however, they must stay out of foul trouble, avoid stupid fouls, avoid careless passes, and shoot the ball better than the last game.
