Update time:
The project was much more involved than I would have thought.
1. The depth to get rid of the clay and muck was 10-15ft. It appeared they were creating a pond!
2. Dump truck after dump truck hauled it away.
3. Outfield fence(old plywood) removed. Padding will be reused.
4. New drainage around the entire service installed. Sub-drainage covering infield and outfield connected to outermost drains installed.
5. Dirt is then used cover the playing surface. Laser equipment ensures a precise grade. Drainage rocks cover the surface to aid in water drainage. Packers/rollers are used to further enhance the the surface.
6. Concrete was then used to build the pitchers mounds and bullpens. Yes, concrete!! Plus additional VIP seating in front of our new bullpen. Awesome view!
7. Turf will be installed within two or three weeks and we are ready to go.
8. The players return January 15th giving us a month of practice time. This new field is truly a game changer!!!!
9. The Dugout Club banquet is January 25th, 6:00pm at the Cochran Center. Tickets

This year’s speaker is Jake Peavy. Former Cy Young winner and two time World Series Champion. It will be fantastic! Plus coaches, players, auction items, and many surprises!
