Been a rather crazy week for coaching news so I thought to.crrate this thread.

Last info I got was from the editor of the Marshall Rivals site who said he has it on good authority that Hufff to USM is a done deal.

Let's see if this pans out ....

Friend of mine from petal just called me to tell me that it was on the news that our punter (Gibbs) has entered the transfer portal

Any word on the status of Izay or Curbello? Who steps up to fill their roll id both or either are done?

I wonder if Huff will coach Marshall's bowl game. The Championship is Dec. 7th, so he could coach it, but Bowls are later and could cut into recruiting and put us behind. I believe Curly left us before a bowl game, and Jeff took over.

Is there a hangup we don't know about and I'm not understanding why we have delayed this announcement I understand we haven't fleshed out all the details yet but if we have an agreement between the two parties we should at least expect an announcement I would think. Makes me wonder if there's not a hangup somewhere.

Many are saying the players have given up on Hall. I don't know if that is true or not, but in this last game (a chance to go 2-2), the players for sure quit. What happened to the "Win for MJ"? We heard this, Fall. IMO, it was a combination effort by players and coaches.

If Hall can't motivate his coaches and players on Saturday, there is some hope for the rest of the year. He has had some unfortunate circumstances, such as quarterback injuries, but that was an excuse for losing only one game.

If he does not win at least one of the following two, there may not be anyone in the stands, and perhaps there will not be any players either. I would think a Louisiana blowout, point-wise, would end the tenure for at least the DC. He was responsible for tackling, for which the lack of the last game was highly visible.

Football is a business like never before; regardless of how Hall is a good person, he is not winning. I am placing my last bit of hope for him in the next few games once the opportunity for a bowl is mathematically impossible; good luck to him elsewhere.
