Here is a junior college basketball recruiting article that mentions 2 of the USM signees...

Recovering from Covid

I am 74 years old, so I wanted to pass this along. For years I have been taking supplements based continual research. I won't bother you with all that I take but here are a few. Everyday I take 6000 milligrams of vitamin C, 20000 international units of D3, 40 milligrams of melatonin, 4 grams lysine, 3 grams Ca- Mg - Zn complex and vit B complex. My symptoms have been very mild. Oxygen is 98 everyday, no fever, no sore throat, no cough, just tired.
I passed this along in case any of my Eagle friends get Vivid. GOD forbid!

The #1 Reason The P5 Will Always Block A 16 Team Playoff...

There are many reasons (money, greed, the appearance of power, exclusivity, the hierarchy of the current system) but the #1 reason and the true driving force in college football is Recruiting!!! With the way it is currently set up, only teams from the P5 conferences will get into the CFP. If they create a playoff that gives an opportunity to all 10 conferences champions and 6 at large bids from the remaining top ranked teams and seed them to create a 16 team playoff, then the leverage for the P5 to recruit is gone. Will Hall can go into a recruit's home and say, "If you come to Southern Miss you have a greater chance to play in the CFP than if you go to a Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, or even an Auburn."

Once a 16 team playoff is started the you will begin to see more money come into programs in a CUSA and Sunbelt and that will even out the playing field. It all starts with recruiting. That is why there will never be a true 16 team playoff.

What are your opinions?

Today's boxscore

I see Ladner's son had 3 minutes of playing time coming into today's game but got to play 17 minutes.

Loyola Postgame Presser Quick Notes

Hardy:
Difference in 2nd half was more energy and better execution
We turned down good shots for better shots
Played better defense:

Draine:
Huge honor to be 100 point scorer. USM means so much to me.
We need to come out early like we did in 2nd half. Sometimes that transitions to defensive end in 1st half.
This team's identity to get teams out of their comfort zone and outrebound teams and we can beat anyone.

Coach Ladner:
Loyola is a good team and we needed to get back up to speed for today's game. The 1st half was tough, 2nd half our depth wore on them a bit, and Draine got on track in the 2nd half.
Very odd experience to play my son. Not something I would want to have every year.
We were slow in the first half, we had an extended off period. We really got going in the 2nd half.
Usually we would play 13 non league games, this year we only got 7.
Got to see some glimpses from Pinkney, he is finally getting back to full speed.
Draine came here when it wasn't cool to come here. He has stayed when people who were looking. That speaks to his character.
The game is starting to slow down for Artur, and he can play multiple positions. He is playing with a dislocated kneecap since last year, incredible considering how he has played.
This conference schedule will be tough. Prepare for Friday's game and worry about Saturday after that. That is the only way I know to coach against same team 2 nights on a row.
Pink is a tall guy who can shoot but he can score at the 3 levels. He can play at the 3, foul line, and in the post.
UTEP is a team that will compete for a CUSA Champ. They will be a good measuring stick for us.
