I guess Chip is gone today and so Wozniak will call the bowl

game. He makes 110,000 so he'll get a really good raise I suppose. I think he has meager experience at OC but this offence is the brain child of Todd Monken, not Chip's. I'll miss Chip but I am confident Todd'll make the right choices here. Plus Wozniak has been with him all 3 years here, he can do it. I sure hope we can keep Luke Meadows.

Took in Mississippi practice this morning and here are a few notes:

Southern Miss defensive back commitment Demetrius Market continues to impress. He had several nice pass break-ups during the morning sessions lining up against the best MS had to offer - DK Metcalf, AJ Brown and Jordan Duncan.

Bassfield LB and Southern Miss commit Racheem Boothe played well today seeing the most reps of any linebacker today, which that has been the norm all week. Fellow future Eagle Jacques Turner continues to sply time between DE and LB.

Will be headed out to Oak Grove in a few.

Parking at the Cotton Bowl

Cotton Bowl Seating Capacity is about 92,000
As nice as it would be, I don't think we will fill every seat that day.
I have lived in DFW for 10 years, and I have never managed to go to a game at the Cotton Bowl.
I hear horror stories about Parking, mainly during Texas-OU and the State Fair.

If anyone affiliated with the EC or the Alumni Association has any insight regarding Parking that will be in close proximity to the Alumni Association Gathering prior to the game, that would be much appreciated. We are picking up 2 folks from our Party at DFW and heading straight to the game at about 9:30-10:00 AM. That will be just in time for a Bloody Mary and some fellowship amongst the Black & Gold Nation.

Thanks in advance!

MS/AL Notebook Wednesday PM

All Star teams from MS and AL continue to prep for the annual Mississippi-Alabama All Star Classic that will be played at M.M.Roberts Stadium on Saturday.

BGN was on hand at Oak Grove High School to take in Team Alabama's afternoon session. Here's a few notes and observations:

- Southern Miss offensive line commitment Jacob Johnson has had as good of a first two days as any OL on either team and much better than most.

Focus on Jacob Johnson: WATCH NOW

- Southern Miss offensive line prospect Jamahl Jelks is also having a pretty nice practice. He has been snapping the ball for Alabama and has done a pretty good job. Spoke with Jelks after practice and here's what he had to say:

- Another prospect on the Southern Miss radar is Huffman (AL) Kurtis Beaman. He's had a really nice practice so far, he's hard to block. More on him tomorrow.
