OT: State of Texas - Southern Miss car tag

I just called to check on how the pre-orders are going for the Texas Southern Miss car tag. They only have 35 people as of 4pm that have pre-ordered, and they need 200 by the 31st. The lady did say that they will usually extend the first deadline. If you live in Texas, look at ordering one of these. The non-personalized / background only tags are $50 for one year.

OT: Need some help from a coast educator

I'm the state director for the Selective Service System. Our national director will be on the coast January 19 and 20. He is wanting to speak to high schools about their requirement to register for the draft and the repercussions of them not registering, such as being unable to get federal or state employment.

Any help will be appreciated. My name is Pete Walley and my cell is 601-270-3968. Feel free to call anytime of day. Thanks for your consideration.

Questions on athletic budget

Check on this site: http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/

If you click on each school, the last 10 years of info pops up. If you go back and look at some of the schools that have left us since the early 2000s, you will notice that in 2005 we were all about even. Then each of these schools starting getting huge increase in the form of student fees and/or school subsidy. Meanwhile, USM did not increase in either area.

You will also notice that our annual contributions (giving to dept) is on par or greater then many of these schools.

My question, is this the bigger reason we have been left behind? That our school failed to show a commitment to giving, while all these others schools increased their giving by millions?!?!

Literally if you look from 2005, schools like Houston, ECU, Memphis, UCF, Cincy, ect have increased in these two areas (UCF huge increase in rights/licensing).

Second question, will we increase in school subsidy? Which seems to be the easiest way to increase budget.
