Tulane has finished out it's football class today with the signing of Laurel High safety Thakarius "Bopete" Keyes 6'3 185. Keyes had signed with East MS CC but is qualified academically. Keyes was also a member of the 2016 5A state basketball champs at Laurel. Willie Fritz and his staff noticed Keyes on tape when looking at another prospect and contacted Laurel High head coach Todd Breland and set up an official visit. They offered back in February and Keyes visited last week and accepted the Tulane offer. Coach Breland told me that Keyes was a basketball player and hell of an athlete that just started playing football his junior year of high school.

I know it was controversial two weeks ago (some thought Syracuse should not have made it), but I am just curious who else picked Syracuse to get this far other than me? I had Oklahoma , UNC, Syracuse, and Kansas going to the final four with UNC winning it all.. Not bad.. It was a lot of the the mid seeds losing early that killed my bracket though.. SMH.

I am just curious how baseball pitchers are determined.. Like I know we usually start our ace on Fridays, but with a week like this one, where we are the odds to win the Charlotte series, why couldnt we mix it up a little ?

Like start our ace against State tonight and put him on a pitch count. Then treat our ace like we are in the tourney, only start him after we lose. Meaning, if we beat Charlotte on Friday and Saturday, then he just gets the week off, because that was how important the State game was. But If we lose any Charlotte game before we win then bring him in on the next game.

We are not losing bad mid week games, but we need to win a few of the good RPI games though.
