Experienced QB?

We have had practically zero experience at the QB position under Hall and it shows. We’ve had a collection of true freshman, little used transfers, walk ons, etc, with one common thread, they had very few college snaps. If we go into another year without getting a seasoned transfer at QB, I will have serious doubts about Hall’s future at USM. Take MSU for example they are bringing in a 2 or 3 year starter from Baylor. Sure he has pedestrian numbers but he has experience, which is huge. The kid knows what its like to be 3rd and 18 against an all out blitz against a stout D1 defense. We’ve got some young guys with good potential, but little experience. That has to change or Hall’s tenure will almost certainly will be short lived.

Quick Hits From Signing Day....

1. There were some immediate needs filled. Especially in the defensive secondary with the transfer additions of James and Pinkney.

2. I still don't think they are done. Look for some transfers to come in at LB.

3. The HS signees are the beat since Hall has arrived on campus. Some could push for playing time immediately. Chris Jones amd John White could both start next season along with Caleb Moore.

4. Jesiolowski and Washington are the 2 sleepers of the class. Jesiolowski has freakish athletic ability and Washington (add about 10 pounds to his frame) has all the makings of a really good every-down back.

5. They did get some help on the OL through JUCO and Portal. I still look for them to add more once bowl season is completed.

Everyone committed signed, sealed, and delivered before 8:30. That's some efficient work by the coaching staff.

Does Curbelo playing mean that Alverez will be red-shirted for this season?

I think I remember reading something on this board about that.
