Today's Men's Basketball Game vs TS

Ts is a bad basketball team, but we have had our woes against poor teams. Considering the Eagles will probably be without Ivory, Cubelo, and maybe Hart, the game should be close. I expect the Eagles will come away with a victory; however, they must stay out of foul trouble, avoid stupid fouls, avoid careless passes, and shoot the ball better than the last game.

Hardwood Club trying to arrange a bus trip for Southern Miss fans to go to South Alabama or Louisiana Lafayette

Hello Hardwood Club!

Would anyone be interested in a bus trip to either the South Alabama game on Wednesday, February 28 or the Lafayette game on Friday March 1?

Our New Associate Athletic Director has priced buses for us, and we could only do this if we have enough people to fill the bus. We would need at least 50 passengers to make a bus trip affordable for everyone. Note, there is no profit built in, just trying to cover the cost of the bus.
* Wed night to Mobile, bus would cost $2,100 - approximately $40 - $45 per person. (1.75 hour ride)
* Friday night to Lafayette, bus would cost $2,800 - approximately $50 - $55 per person (3.5 hour ride)

Bus would depart from and return to Reed Green, likely leaving around 2 pm and returning after game (around midnight from Mobile or 1 am if Lafayette). Game tickets and any food would be separate expense and everyone would be on their own for game tickets and meal.

If you are interested, please respond to this email by Tuesday, February 20. Let me know the following:
* Your name(s)
* How many seats on bus you would want
* Which game(s) - South AL (Wed, 2/28) and/or Lafayette (Fri, 3/1) you would be able to ride bus

This is not limited to Hardwood Club, so if you have friends who may be interested in a bus trip, please share this information. If by chance we get more interest than one bus will hold, we will make sure all interested Hardwood Club members get priority.

Hoping we can get a big enough group to make a bus trip possible to one of these games. Knowing these are weeknights and not everyone lives in Hattiesburg, it will be a longshot to get a big enough group, but let's give it a try. I will confirm by Wednesday, Feb 21 whether we have enough people to make a bus trip and to which game.

Thanks to everyone for the great support you've shown all season toward the players and the coaches. And from the Ladner Family, thank you for the outpouring of love for Coach Ladner. We've had some significant challenges this year... but the team is still battling, so let's show them our Golden Eagle love and support for the next few weeks.

All Grit, No Quit!!! Southern Miss... To The Top!!

Just a little NIL info....

Right now Southern Miss is operating with a $400,000 NIL budget. That is right up there with Coastal, Arkansas State, Texas State. I have been told USM is #1 in the SBC. Right now the push is to get NIL up to 1 Mill which will put USM on the level of Louisville. Memphis, and those schools who used to be in CUSA. I was just told that "giving to NIL is the most important thing that can be done for Southern Miss Athletics."

Good baseball article from the Student Printz...

The Monkey Incident involving Will Hall...

This might be an old story to some but it is the first I have heard of it.

Dagnabbit!!! I wish I had a time machine.

I'd fast forward to next Friday night if I could. I sure hope they've moved some rock piles close to the stadium. We need to smoke that tater this year. There's NOTHING like a pile of rocks and a home made rock bat to get it done. 8 of 10, and you will smoke that baseball.

IT CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH!!!

GO EAGLES!!!!!!! (this is almost as tough as waiting for Christmas)

Time to remember this former great Southern Miss and Kansas City football player...

Update on 2nd signing day....

You won't see any action from USM unless a jewel drops in their hands and there isn't one of those. They have 3 schollys left, it is their plan to use those after Spring practice. There usually is a transfer or two out of the program once Sprimg is complete. That will give them maybe 5 to use. Depending on how the OL looks will be the determining factor of how those schollys are used.

My Spring Predictions for the Offense.
