What the Southern Miss defense must do to stop Tulane

With less than a week left till Southern Miss takes the field in the 2019 Armed Forces Bowl, the Eagles continue preparation for the Tulane Green Wave. Both teams come into this game struggling after finishing the 2019 regular season in a rather disappointing fashion. The Golden Eagles squandered any chance at a CUSA title by losing back-to-back games, at home vs. WKU, and on the road vs. FAU (the eventual CUSA Champion).

12/29 Practice Tidbits.....

Well another bowl practice is in the books. Team looks tobe in good spirits. All the players I actually spoke to are excited about the bow vs Tulane. All in all a great day of practice, with no incidents and looks as if everyone was there (No Jaylond). More coming out about that the Eagle defense must do to stop the Tulane QB with coach and player Interviews

Division II Championship

While channel surfing over the weekend, I ran across the D2 Championship game, won by University of West Florida from Pensacola (one of our old fertile recruiting grounds). Interestingly, the sideline announcer asked the coach how UWF had gone from no team to Championship in 5 years. He credited the AD and the full support from the University's Administration. By the way, the President is none other than Dr. Martha Saunders.
