Well things are shaping up to be a serious uphill battle for the Eagles. It was a nice win against Charlotte but we now face Marshall, WKU, and the two Florida Schools. All four are in the mid and upper range of the conf. Can we hold on to our position above Rice and MTSU for last place in our Conference? It is certainly going to be exciting. What a great chance for coach Jay and the team to end up 3rd from the abyss and retain our present position. Imagine what it can do for recruiting..

Southern Miss held Media Day Friday at Pete Taylor Park. Coaches and players got the opportunity to address the media about the upcoming 2020 season. One area that people seem to be interested in is the new turf. Coach Berry was really happy about the new surface. "The surface we have out there is second to none. Our guys actually love it."

I really think they were out coached the last part of the game. Third and 10 and you go for a bomb instead of trying to pick up a first down? Completely forgot about Samuels. Letting the clock run down at the end of the first half cost them points.

Moore had a good game but the PI cost them a TD but he did stop them from scoring on two occasions. I was hoping he and Nick would get a ring.

He was hired as head coach at Northwestern State in 2016 after 8 seasons as an assistant women's basketball coach at Southern Miss. I wonder if Southern Miss could find a way to hire him back as an assistant.

Just proves that player development and mental maturity is what makes a player special, not recruiting rankings.

This was certainly a major upset. I still think we can end up in second to last place in the conference instead of last. I believe the "Shock Troops" will come through for us.

This one should be visible to everybody. Shame about losing two players to academics.

CUSA must not look at what is going on in the cities they play in when making the schedules. They have WKU and Marshall in Miami playing FAU and FIU this weekend while the Super Bowl in is Miami. Thank God USM did not fall into this. The airline cost, travel cost (while in Miami), and hotel cost are tripled right now. Also, FIU and FAU play each other next week. Why not make them play each other this week and give them the semi bye next week when they play each other? This could happen for both men and women. Just another instance of the CUSA braintrust at work again.

The commitment list on this board is not up to date. Is there any news about recruiting?
