There is a new XFL starting this spring. As far as Southern Miss football players who have played their last season at Southern Miss from the 2019 team that have a chance to continue playing in some sort of professional league I would think it is the following 4 players:

Southern Miss football went into the 2012 season coming off one of the best years in school's history. In 2011 the Golden Eagles won 11 regular season games and a win over Utah in the Hawaii Bowl to secure the school's first 12 win season. The Eagles also finished the season at #20 in the AP Poll and #19 in the Coach's Poll. What went wrong in 2012 for the Golden Eagles can be laid right at the feet of Ellis Johnson.

On the debut edition of 'Inside Southern Miss Athletics,' John Cox visits with Director of USM Athletics Jeremy McClain to discuss the impact COVID-19 is having on student-athletes, coaches and administrators. Head Baseball Coach Scott Berry also joins Cox to shine a light on the specific challenges the program is facing during this unprecedented time. Javarzia Belton talks Southern Miss commitment

The Golden Eagles lost 2 key contributors this season due to graduation in Leonard Harper-Baker and Boban Jacdomni. Coach Ladner and staff made it a priority to recruit players who could come in and fill that void. They recently got a commitment from 6'7 forward Mark Yaakson and got great news when they recently found out 6'10 280 lbs center Jarvarzia Belton committed to the Eagles. Belton brings the combination of height and size that Southern Miss has not seen in quite some time. A strong rebounder and devastating blocker, Belton will allow the Eagles the ability to not have to double big men in the post and allow Coach Ladner to play his-to man defense he likes and pressure opposing teams with.
