Sorry it has taken me a while to get a new article up. Hope you all enjoy it!!

There is nothing better than a crisp Fall mid afternoon when you arrive at The Rock, grab a rolling cooler filled with your favorite beverages, pull out the folding chairs, make your way to your preferred tailgating area, watch some football on TV , fellowship with other Golden Eagle fans (and in some cases opposing fans), attend Eagle Walk, and then watch Southern Miss bring home a victory.

Where Is Money Coming From

Today Dr. Bennett announced the formation of a screening committee to locate the best possible candidate for the newly named position of Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Strategic Initiatives. How we have survived this long as a university without this vital position is totally beyond me. So, where is the money coming from to pay for this totally essential position? What programs are being cut or less funded to provide funds for this gosh almighty esteemed person that will show us the way? Who came up with this “need” and moreover, who the hell thinks it is needed? Enough is enough.........

Back to Sports

Found an article this morning about Tyler Stuart (Pitcher, redshirt freshman, sophomore in '21) getting healthy and ready for next season. Our Eagles could be really good next year and I am excited to see what we can do at the Pete in 21.

Mississippi Flag,

Up until now, I have never owned one or flown one or ever had one on any article of clothing, or any of my cars, trucks or windshields. I guess I always thought it was a State Flag and would always be here. I knew it didn't sit well with some and just didn't fly it. I have had my USM flag handing from the eve of my garage and have had it taken down and throw in my front yard. Can only guess what schools rep from which it was done. I don't want trouble, but today I order a Mississippi State Flag and you can buy them at rock bottom prices. I guess if I had waited a week they would have been free. No, I won't fly it. I don't want my house egged or burned or to be a subject of drive by shootings, like are going on in Chicago. I will keep it in the box and in my house to know what we once had and how much things have changed, This I do know, changing the flag is not going to make Mississippi better. Athletes knew before they signed with the schools what our State Flag was, what the name Ole Miss and Rebels were and what they stood for. We at Southern miss changed the name of our team from the Southerners to The Golden Eagles. We dropped General Nat as our mascot. We did all of this decades ago and Ole Miss continued with theirs and face it, you can change your colors and your name but you are what you are. People are never satisfied when you do make the change they want, because once you do, they realize that then they have the power to make you do other changes later on. Some people are never happy no matter what they get at the time they still want more until they get it all. And by that time you have nothing else to give and you are have been beaten down a little a time and you didn't even realize it and now it is too late. BLM and Democrat's at their best and we are letting them take the farm because we are feeling quilty for something that happened almost 200 years ago. Shame on Us.

Basketball Game vs Ole Miss in Biloxi.....

Have a really good reliable source that Southern Miss will be playing Ole Miss in basketball Nov 5th at 6pm at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. This will be a benefit for a lot of the food banks on the coast. No info yet on when tickets go on sale as Southern Miss nor Ole Miss has announced this yet, but just waiting on NCAA approval which will be no issue.
