2021 Football Preview: USM has a nice mix of size/speed/experience at WR

Coach Will Hall had said that he will take his offense and mold it around the talent he has to work with. He did that at Tulane, where the coaches before him recruited a more power running team, and we saw first hand what he did with that. At Southern Miss, expect Coach Hall to take what he has and open the offense up and throw the ball more. Of course, that will depend on 2 things: 1. Can the QB deliver? 2. Are there enough pass catchers to stretch the field? We are still waiting to see about the QB, but he does have plenty of options at WR. Let's take a look at what this WR group looks like headed into practice in 2 weeks.

It looks like the official football roster has been updated for 2021...

A few players have been removed that have been mentioned on this board as gone and a few new players have been added, once again mostly names that have been mentioned on this board. Howwever it is nice to see the roster updated as it is easier to track.

Rodrigo Montenegro is thrilled to unite with brother Gabe at Southern Miss

Big Gold Nation recently had the opportunity to sit down and chat with future Golden Eagle baseball player Rodrigo Montenegro who is the brother of current player Gabe Montenegro. Poch (pronounced like poach), is overjoyed to be a Golden Eagle. This was a fun interview to do and "Poch" was a blast to chat with and we can't wait to see him on the field.
