Will Hall's sideline demeanor...

...is priceless. Such energy and determination. A real football head coach. It's now clear that it's taken him awhile to get this team united and playing together, but he's done it, with an innovative offense that he was forced into creating and having the courage to do it. And I really like his almost loving hand-on-the shoulder and shove-in-the-back to the qb du jour, as if to say, "ok, here's the play, now go get 'em son". Beautiful to watch.

My hat is off to CWH and this team.

So, next season (2022 football)...

So, preseason we all thought we'd be winners. I thought 8-4 looked within reach. Looking back, a healthy Lowe or Keyes MIGHT have gotten us to 6-6. I don't think they could have stayed healthy with our OLine.

I didn't see a short passing game until Lange had to play. Lange couldn't survive our OLine either. Glad he survived the season. Let's hope he doesn't have PTSD. LOL. They'll all get another shot this Spring. I'm not sold on any of them. I wonder how many new faces we'll see?

We seriously need legit blockers just to be able to evaluate the QBs we have. Can we salvage any of the bodies that remain on OLine?

With so many bodies, I bet our QBs are live for the Spring game - we'll probably see 8 or so. LOL?

I like our backs and receivers. Hall got to eventually show that he does have some talent on offense. Gore to Brownlee is something to look forward to. We have to find ways to get the ball to Willis, Jones, Richard, and Caston as well.

The defense was good, though not great. It kept us in every game and almost beat UTSA on its own. We have potential here with our youth. Hope we can hold onto Armstrong. (Saw that Sykes was done- thought he had more eligibility. Now I'm just slightly concerned about our DLine.)

Good ole days remembered

This from an article about the Iron Bowl, thought it interesting in the last point.
1. ONLY TWO: The No. 1 reason why Alabama-Auburn is the greatest college football rivalry is that there is basically nothing else in the state as far as sports. There has never been an NFL, NBA, or Major League Baseball team in Alabama. There is no other major football program to divert attention from the big two. One can say the same thing about the Ole Miss-Mississippi State Egg Bowl, though Southern Mississippi has frequently been better than both schools to its north. That has not happened in Alabama. You are on one side or the other. Nothing else matters.
