about Men's basketball when you said it just takes a little to be a winning program. In the past few years, we have battled MTSU for last place in CUSA West. Look at them now. they are leading west and have a winning record of 14-6 and are 5-2 in CUSA. The only thing I know about them is they are in Nashville but something turned that program around.

Well, USM is on their Florida road trip. Will they get a win? We shall see...

2 players already changed from Southern University (BR) to Grambling due to the NIL. Now we are beginning to see how college football will be more driven by outside dollars at all levels. The next level will be players having agents involved in their recruiting process. The dollar will be the deciding factor for all athletes now. It used to just be the elites that got under the table money but now everyone will have their hand out. I am afraid that it will have a negative affect on our baseball program going forward if we don't find the companies willing to pay to play.

However, they will not be allowed to play in the Colonial Conference tournament due to the Colonial Conference being vindictive over the conference move.

Now the term grandfather is on the "bad" list as it invokes past uses of laws that were said to be "grandfathered in". It seems like JMU will be announcing a move to the Sun Belt this weekend. It looks as if the CUSA schools have some small details to fix. It looks as if what I was told about a middle of February announcement about the move may ring true. Still, stuff may change and nothing is official, but it is beginning to really look a lot like an announcement could be soon. Or, I could be wrong,😏

Coach Ladner said today that he was suspended because of mouthing off at officials. He has a short leash, but since he has come back, everything has been good.

He said he was very pleased with effort and intensity of practice and really liked what he saw.

Coach also stated that they had some errors and mental mistakes but it was the first weekend back and that will get better.

I asked about pitching, didn't mention anyone in particular and stated they still have to work and decide what their role for this season is. There were a few walks and errors in the field that led to big innings that they need to fix.

Was happy about the hitting. Mentioned that the Montenegro brothers had a really solid weekend swinging the bats. Danny Lynch was another who was solid at the plate and Sargent had a good weekend as well. Ewing had a good 1st day of scrimmage then leveled off. The upperclassmen had a good weekend. Dickerson was solid in both the field and at the plate.

His scholarship will be pushed forward to next season and he will enroll in the Fall.

Saw a post yesterday that Colin Kaepernick had died of COVID. Can’t find anything else on it. Is this fake news?

There are no seniors on this team, so as of right now, there are no scholarships available for 2022-2013. With the portal in play some kids might enter and transfer. However, if there are schollys it means some guys who get a lot of playing time are leaving. That means another semi-rebuild and this program can't take that.

What present roster members most likely will lose their starting job?

He does not play much on offense but I did see him on the kickoff team today.

I have a feeling that we will not finish last in our conference in Basketball. Back on December 21st, I predicted we would end up with seven wins this year. Not counting sop wins against SBC, WCC, and an exhibition game with Delta State. Presently we are ahead of UTSA and Marshall. We play them both so we can gain ground. This year we will have an exciting finish.

He loves the depth of this staff.
Mazza is probably the only true freshman that will see time on the mound.
Has about 6-8 guys who could start. Wouldn't say a rotation but will list those in upcoming article.
Likes what he has on the back backend of the rotation. More about that in upping article.
Likes both catchers. Both handle the staff well. Nice to have a Lefty and Righty to swap out there.
Talked about tbe increase in power arms. He says that is because kids want to throw harder and start doing it a younger age.
