Then thank your employer. They are eating the cost instead of passing it down to you. There are some good companies left out there. I work for a small startup, and we're the ones getting slaughtered by Obama's policies. I'm thankful to be in a recession proof industry after this election. Pro sports will go on, and they'll continue to buy our product.
So it's nice to have reasonable job security with the looming disaster, but there is still a lot to be worried about. Things like gas, groceries, utilities, healthcare, etc. have risen at an astronomical rate the last 4 years. Since Obama took control, I've been laid off, but worked very hard, and switched jobs a few times to maximize my salary. Despite the fact that my salary is quite a bit more than it was 4 years ago, I have less left over at the end of the month. Where I was feeding my family for $100/week, I'm now paying $250/week. Where I spent $100/mo on gas, I now spend $400/mo. Where I paid $150/mo on gas and electric, I now pay over $300/mo. Where my family health insurance premium was $200/mo, it's now over $700/mo. And that only scratches the surface. Everything I buy costs substantially more. The result is that there's nothing left to save. The sad thing is that if I still had the same job I had 4 years ago, I would probably be making the same I did back then, or less, because wages are falling.
This is the real killer in America, and nobody is talking about it. Obama's "penalize the job creators" plan is only going to make it worse. Our future is very bleak. It's scary to think about where we're going to be 4 years from now.

Lol, I give you credit sir, you never quit gigging the President any way you can. Honestly, I can't say I feel the same pain you do, my wages have increased, but not like they should have, but you know as well as I do that middle class wages have been stagnate for the last 30 years. I have worked my ass off as you have, but my personal integrity demands that of me, again, good parenting figures heavily into that. Utility costs have increased here, mostly from increased costs from Gulf Power, part of the Southern Company. All of their rate increases have been approved by the utility comission, being a public utility they have to be, I am sure it is the same way in Colorado. Gulf Power is preparing to build a new generating plant, the one here now is of a very old design, coal burning, and contributes greatlly to our problems with air quality. The new one will be using natural gas, much cleaner burning, and being the parent of a kid with asthma, I am very thankful. My expenses for gasoline have dropped, mostly because my car now gets better mileage, and I don't drive as far to work, we pay dearly for car insurance in Florida, mostly because of south Florida, but that isnt a Federal issue, more related to risk. My food costs have not increased drastically, Florida is the 4th largest producer of beef in the nation, it helps keep the price down, veggies are grown thruout the year here, so they are reasonable, I know they are effected by gas prices for shipping, but I have started trying to use local markets for fresh veggies and that helps, quality seems better also. Florida is a state that does not tax food, at least not staples, nor do we have a state income tax, we let tourists pay for alot thru sales taxes and bed taxes!
I know we don't share the same political outlook and beliefs, but I believe in the Presiden, and I share his belief that the direction the country needs to move in is one that stresses education, infrastructure improvements, protection of our enviroment, job growth thru manufacturing/technology, less dependence on foreign sources of energy thru innovation, exploration and alternative sources (wind, solar, etc) and a less adventerous foreign policy, and yes, he does believe in a strong military and America's place as the worlds great Super Power, he just uses it more judiciously than his predecessor. I could go on and on, but it is too late and you get my drift. We'll argue again soon...lol....Black/Gold
