In an article I just read in the Wall Street Journal by a supporter of Obamacare, in fact the man is helping to implement it, the author stated that the health car plan would result in the following: a family of four that had a choice of a breadwinner taking a part time job at $36,000 over a full time job at $42,000 would face losing $10,000 a year in health-care subsidies if they take the full time job. On top of that small businesses will be able to save $3,000 per year by avoiding the Obamacare mandate with full time employees if they cut their employees hours to part time. I know of businesses that are doing this now. I know people that had their hours cut. So working families and businesses are both changing the way they run their lives because of the mess that was forced on us. Just another government pile of crap that has unintended consequences that those people that think that they are so much smarter than we are put together to "take care of us."

Bingo you nailed......Thats the spin "MORE JOBS CREATED" media and nobama wont tell you that it is PART TIME JOBS!!!!!!! because of the tax oops I mean obamacare being implemented. Then the working man gets penalized for not having insurance on top of not having full time job. Bottom of the toilet here we(USA) come

We are no longer the United States of America. We are the United Socialist States of America. This country is no longer on a "path" to socialism. We ARE a socialist country...no different from France and other European socialist states. It has finally happened.

Obamacare will be fully implemented which will inevitably lead to the downfall of private health insurance and a totally nationalized healthcare system- an inefficient, depleted, rationed system that will be a total disaster. But why shouldn't it? Everything else will in time go to hell in a handbasket. National debt will soar through the roof. The idiot voting population will find out that taxing the rich doesn't do a damn thing to solve anything as spending soars out of control. Then it will be massive taxation on those who earn moderate incomes. And even that won't solve the problem. This is a tragedy in the making.

The U.S. is screwed thanks to Obama. The downfall began last night. Write it down.

The states are no longer United. You can drop the U.

Nomama care is just a way for the Gov't to have all that insurance premium cash coming in. They will even control MRI machines and Labs. More gov't jobs for the growing gov't

I thought we already had the perfect health care system, it's called Medicaid. We taxpayers pay for it. If you have ever had to go to an emergency room, look around, you'll see people with a runny nose that come there and pay nothing. Why change that, we're paying for it.

Don't know about you guys, open enrollment just ended for me, my rates went down, even though I increased my catastrophic coverage, added to my death benefits and picked up more on a burial policy....Thank you Obama Care.... Black/Gold

Either you're lying, your coverage is worse, or you're the luckiest person alive. Because everyone else's went up over $4000...including mine. Higher premiums, higher deductibles, and worse coverage. Thank you obamacare. Just wait until it's fully enacted. Better hope your job isn't one of the millions that will be cut or reduced to part time. Hype and fantasy talking points are cool. Reality sucks.

I wouldn't lie about it, Mama taught me better. I was amazed also, astonished even, but it is a Blue/Cross plan, including short-term and long-term disability (long term thru Aflac) and is one that is used by every major medical group in Pensacola. I am not saying this to beat a drum for the President, it's just the truth. I know you and I have argued politics often times Legendary, but no BS on this one....Black/Gold

Then thank your employer. They are eating the cost instead of passing it down to you. There are some good companies left out there. I work for a small startup, and we're the ones getting slaughtered by Obama's policies. I'm thankful to be in a recession proof industry after this election. Pro sports will go on, and they'll continue to buy our product.

So it's nice to have reasonable job security with the looming disaster, but there is still a lot to be worried about. Things like gas, groceries, utilities, healthcare, etc. have risen at an astronomical rate the last 4 years. Since Obama took control, I've been laid off, but worked very hard, and switched jobs a few times to maximize my salary. Despite the fact that my salary is quite a bit more than it was 4 years ago, I have less left over at the end of the month. Where I was feeding my family for $100/week, I'm now paying $250/week. Where I spent $100/mo on gas, I now spend $400/mo. Where I paid $150/mo on gas and electric, I now pay over $300/mo. Where my family health insurance premium was $200/mo, it's now over $700/mo. And that only scratches the surface. Everything I buy costs substantially more. The result is that there's nothing left to save. The sad thing is that if I still had the same job I had 4 years ago, I would probably be making the same I did back then, or less, because wages are falling.

This is the real killer in America, and nobody is talking about it. Obama's "penalize the job creators" plan is only going to make it worse. Our future is very bleak. It's scary to think about where we're going to be 4 years from now.

Lol, I give you credit sir, you never quit gigging the President any way you can. Honestly, I can't say I feel the same pain you do, my wages have increased, but not like they should have, but you know as well as I do that middle class wages have been stagnate for the last 30 years. I have worked my ass off as you have, but my personal integrity demands that of me, again, good parenting figures heavily into that. Utility costs have increased here, mostly from increased costs from Gulf Power, part of the Southern Company. All of their rate increases have been approved by the utility comission, being a public utility they have to be, I am sure it is the same way in Colorado. Gulf Power is preparing to build a new generating plant, the one here now is of a very old design, coal burning, and contributes greatlly to our problems with air quality. The new one will be using natural gas, much cleaner burning, and being the parent of a kid with asthma, I am very thankful. My expenses for gasoline have dropped, mostly because my car now gets better mileage, and I don't drive as far to work, we pay dearly for car insurance in Florida, mostly because of south Florida, but that isnt a Federal issue, more related to risk. My food costs have not increased drastically, Florida is the 4th largest producer of beef in the nation, it helps keep the price down, veggies are grown thruout the year here, so they are reasonable, I know they are effected by gas prices for shipping, but I have started trying to use local markets for fresh veggies and that helps, quality seems better also. Florida is a state that does not tax food, at least not staples, nor do we have a state income tax, we let tourists pay for alot thru sales taxes and bed taxes!

I know we don't share the same political outlook and beliefs, but I believe in the Presiden, and I share his belief that the direction the country needs to move in is one that stresses education, infrastructure improvements, protection of our enviroment, job growth thru manufacturing/technology, less dependence on foreign sources of energy thru innovation, exploration and alternative sources (wind, solar, etc) and a less adventerous foreign policy, and yes, he does believe in a strong military and America's place as the worlds great Super Power, he just uses it more judiciously than his predecessor. I could go on and on, but it is too late and you get my drift. We'll argue again soon...lol....Black/Gold

Not gigging. Just stating my personal facts to help you understand why I hate him, and why I am dreading the next 4 years. The past 4 years have been an utter failure in every way, shape, and form. The numbers don't lie.

That's all well and good, but at what cost? Hippie la-la land sounds nice, but it isn't realistic. You can't force people into poverty to "save the planet". Let it happen on it's own. When the technology is there, and it's economically feasible, it will happen. But it's not something the government can force.

I'm all for education. So was Romney. What has Obama done for education? Bush probably tried the hardest of any president that I can recall to improve education. Obama hasn't done squat.

As far as job growth, I can only laugh...and cry. We've seen the highest unemployment rates for a president since the Great Depression. The ridiculous "recovery" rate that Obama brags about is the slowest on record, and it's slowing down every month. You don't grow jobs by demonizing corporations, telling small business owners that they aren't responsible for their own success, and taxing job creators to death and using that money to pay people not to work. Obama kills jobs. The proof is there for all to see.

Natural gas is more expensive than a coal burning plant. When combining cost of plants (while they are cheaper to build they also generate much less power), plus the amount of energy per the cost of power, theres no comparison to coal. Look to pay much more in electricity as the dems shut more coal plants. Ya we'll build more Natural gas burning plants but, their more expensive, as more plants use the gas the price will go up, and dems will shut down fraking turning off that power source. And people in northeast are blaming the power plants for the ever more frequent blackouts.

Also the US is generating less power than it did in 2007. Think about it. There are 12.62 million more people but, were generating about 2% less power than we did. Here's the stats http://www.eia.gov/electricity/data/state/

Pensacola you can give your employer a great big thank you for your policy. I too have the same insurance company as you and my rates have gone up and are killing me. It's open enrollment and we are looking to switch to see if something else will work better for us. So thank the right source, your company. It wasn't King Obama. Everyone I talk to but you has their rates going up, up, up. And yes that's not all Obama's fault, it would have happened anyway, just way less if no Obamacare.
