How many of you have made a recent purchase of a new hand gun and or ammo? I did last Friday. I was stunned at the number of people there looking at hand guns. I was there about thirty minutes. I bet thirty people came in looking for hand guns during that time.

I've bought several recently. Just bought another rifle today. You can still get good deals on various guns. They have been extremely busy since Thanksgiving weekend. Some ARs have doubled in value over the last 6 weeks or so. Now, I'm having a hard time finding ammo. Anyone know of any good sites for 5.56 ammo?

Gun and ammo manufacturers are loving reactions to the Obama admin more than anybody else in the United States, thanks to just this kind of effect.

BE, I got a Judge last week. Love it. Be sure to buy some .410 defender shells for it.

Thought about The Judge. Which is better, The Judge or The Govenor?

Should have my concealed carry permit within the next two weeks. Going to buy a revolver and probably a rifle before the King banishes them.

Bet if you could check and get real information, Obama and Biden have the most stock in guns and ammo just like Bush had the most stock in Haliburton! All goes to the idiots runnig our country.

smttt

Just a bit of advice if you are buying guns right now, check around for prices and make sure you aren't paying way more than you should be. A lot of prices are ridiculously high right now because people are worried and will pay whatever.

Ive wanted one of those for awhile. Whats the recoil like shooting the 410 shell and how accurate is it when shooting 45's

After those three thugs put 19 holes in my car, three hit my headrest and two windows were blown out, I bought my only non-hunting weapon. It is a 357 stainless S&W. When the hammer is cocked, those uglyassed hollow points will make any on the wrong end puke just thinking how his head will look like a canoe if the hammer falls.

They can ignore our constitution and pass any law they want, but they are not taking my ability to defend myself.

With the 410 in The Judge, it's got a pretty good recoil. Much like a .44 Mag. However, it is deadly! My father in law has one and we shot an armadillo with it and needless to say there wasn't much left. It's the judge, jury, and executioner!

Simon:

Have you looked at the Circut Judge .45 cal/.410 revolver . Sweet addition to my collection.

Simon:

I ordered 100 rounds of 7mm Mag 175 from Cabelas just before Christmas and have not got them yet. I called about the order on Monday and was advised that they were out of inventory and that the ammo supplier was way behind in meeting production demands and could be as late as the end of January before my order would ship. What does that tell you?

I know that this thread is way off topic but does anyone have or knows of an M-1 30 Cal. Garand for sale?

TGC, S&W makes a sweet little 380 with a red dot. Thinking about getting one for my wife and girls. On election day I purchased a pocket 380 made by the same company that makes The Judge. Thinking about buying The Judge to keep by the nightstand as well. Best thing we as citizens can do is out buy the idiots that are trying to prevent us from buying them! Let the idiots try to figure out how to get them from us! Sad state of affairs when we have to be having this discussion but I didn't vote for the idiot. But as you well know, somewhere in Kenya, a village is missing it's idiot! Unfortunately, we know where he is.

Wastin; It's got a pretty good kick shooting the 410 shell. I only shot the birdshot. I bought some defender shells also, but they are going for about 1.50-2.00 per so I haven't tried them yet. It is pretty accurate with the 45s , especially for a defense weapon, knowing I'd only have to use it in close distances.

Simon, from what I have read the Governor seems to be a slightly better pistol. The S&W revolvers are some of the best made revolvers on the market. I went in the sotre actually to get them to order me a Governor and he talked me into buying The Judge instead. He had the Judge in stock at the time. There is about a $300.00- #350.00 difference between the two, so I opted for the Judge. I will use it for personal defense and to shoot snakes with as well.

Someone i work with brought one of these in, He knew very little about it other than it belonged to his great grandfather. After we all finished drooling we determed it was a stevens 410 pistol with a 12 inch barrell. Had never seen one but i bet it would be fun ass hell to shoot.

I asked the guys at the store today the same question about a handgun for my wife. They said they would definitely recommend a revolver, probably something in a smaller caliber. They are more reliable and don't jam and are a little easier to handle, according to these "experts". I know they've been in the business for around 50 years and are pretty familiar with guns. The bad thing was that they didn't have anything like that in inventory right now. They expect the gun "craze" to slow down in a few weeks and things to get back toward normal ......... or so they said.

just goes to show how well we americans read........everyone out buying pistols before the "king" takes em away? really? haven't even seen that proposal anywhere....

Actually it has already happened in New York State. They have banned all magazines that hold more than seven cartridges essentially making it illegal to sell most hand-guns that are now on the market in the US.

I have attached for your reading enjoyment.

New York Gun Bans

AND THAT I believe will be challenged in supreme court and struck down does that make coumo the king? :p

I purchased a Bersa 380 handgun for my wife 2 years ago. It is a super little gun. She loves it. I also own a Judge, which she keeps close at hand when I am away. The Judge is an excellent self defense weapon. Not bad for snakes either!!!!!

Actually, the reason I am out "buying pistols" and ammo is because the prices are going up and may continue to do so, especially on ammo. I'd rather buy them now than wait until they are skyhigh. With the "king" in charge, who knows what laws he will try to pass? I would rather be safe than sorry. It is also good to know I can protect my family if the need arises. It's not just the Obama issue, there have been several robberies in my area lately and no one has been arrested for them yet. That also causes me concern.

I doubt it. NYC already has a ban on magazines over 10 in capacity. States have more authority under a state's police power than the Feds do under the commerce clause. All of this will be dependent on state's constitution (do they have additional 2nd amendment rights?) and the second amendment. I would assume the NY's current ban has been challenged on 2nd amendment grounds, but has failed b/c it is not an outright ban on gun ownership. Since this is only a further limiting of the gun capacity and not an outright ban I would think it would be an effective use of the state's police power.

No, Obama is the king. Don't pretend that all the hyperventilation is over nothing. Obama and company want to take away as many gun rights as they can....and they will by creed if they can't get it through congress.

Another article for you....

No one will rob you if you get these. Tried and tested.

I hope that you are right, but we have found out recently that we can't always count on the supreme court.

I'm not sure he owns the court, but the socialists within the democratic party managed to swing it without a majority. Gun control is one thing, but Obamacare is the most significant step to socialism since the FDR days.

I purchased about a half dozen 17 round magazines w/ +2 extenders for my Glock 19. Thought about getting an M4 but decided against it since they were becoming scarce, and that my brother who is in law enforcement has several. The .223 ammo is so far on back order that you have to either buy the high $ cartridges or just wait. Some places are 3-4 months back ordered.
