Slade has really special power and bat speed. He’s had a tremendous year with 20 homers so far and .300 average. My question is has he given up on being a position player? I assume they draft guys as DHs but I would think that would be rare. He started for a bit in RF his Freshman year. I don’t think he’s played defense all year. Maybe he has an injured throwing arm. Does anyone have an idea on this. Maybe he’ll come back for another year on be able to play in the field as well as hit.
