We are one of only two teams in the D1Baseball.com Poll that have *5*+ losses. For it being this early that is respect. However, this would be a good week to go 4-0 going into the Ole Miss game. I know, before some people jump on me saying the RPI is more important in the long run (I agree). But I am still a fan. In the long run, when your team is in the top 15/ 20, it really gives the committee something to think about. When you have a top 20 RPI and top 15/20 ranking, that applies a lot of pressure to them.
Even though tomorrow' s game is a big game for the moment ( I say that because their conference is going to pull that #1 RPI ranking down) It is still a feather in the hat for resume purposes...Like that TCU road series win is looking good. Now, if we can just get our lick back against Ole Miss. Over the last 3 years, we only have 2 wins against them and the rest have been 5+ point blowout losses.
