We win, I'll take it. Go Eagles !!!

First, I'll take the road win. Offense, particularly Richard and Mullins really played well. Where is the defense that showed up strong vs Mississippi State two weeks ago?

That QB was better than the State QB
Ok, I'll take the unpopular opinion. Jones was better tonight than Prescott was 2 weeks ago. But if you're talking overall production, Prescott put up some pretty unbelievable numbers in 2014. Jones only played 7 games due to injury, but his numbers against a much weaker schedule paled in comparison.

Prescott didn't try to run much against us in the first half. Second half he made some big plays with his legs. Teams always play better at home too.

Prescott will make a great NFL TE. That said he does what it takes for them to win. He is steady and doesn't seem to beat himself or his team.

It seems like every QB we play hurts us when they break out of the pocket.

Yep. I think that says something about our speed at LB and DB. You have to go back to early 2000's Bower ball to find a USM defense that could contain a running QB.

If you have been a USM the last few years, you know the pain of a team that has had containing running quarterbacks. I'll never forget the one legged Middle Ten qb that ran crazy in 2009 in the New Orleans bowl due to poor coaching by offensive(no mistake) coordinator Todd Bra_for_.

Yes..I'll take the win also. Remember, this was against a horrible defense..as in really bad..and only a "good" offense. Their receivers were not very good..but at the end of the day..the stats say they got almost as much as us passing, over 300 yards, and actually more rushing yards..against a presumably "good" defense. I am not yet convinced that Monken has room to chastise the fans just yet, after what I saw against TSU.

One way to look at it is the competition that will be faced this year and what will be enough to win....

I think TSU has a pretty fair chance at a winning year. Beating a team with a winning record, Sunbelt or not, hasn't been our MO in a long time. It was a good road win anyway you slice it. 6-6 seems very likely, 7-5 seems within grasp, though an 8 win season is probably beyond our reach. I like this team, I like this coaching staff, and I am OK with our schedule.
Of course injuries will go along way determining how far we go. If we can stay healthy on our top 22 then will be fine. We even have some depth to overcome an injury or two. But already, with Mike Thomas, Foster, Ruff, Freeman, both TE's etc. being out or playing injured, we can't afford too many more.
