There is a plan to build a decent highway between Hattiesburg and Gulfport/Biloxi....

A better roadway between the Mississippi Coast and Hattiesburg might improve Southern Miss game attendance even though the purpose is for military readiness. I was down on the Mississippi Coast and Hattiesburg about a week ago and Highway 49 is still a terrible road to drive by modern Intrastate standards.
