Richard Cross has been fair and even complimentary so far but now that we are playing state he has changed his tune. He said "this is growing into a rivalry as Southern Miss continues to improve." He can't say that we are good or even better, but he can say we are improving. Come on.

In hindsight, hard to say we are better when they took 2 from us in our house in a championship format. And they did it after losing 8 pitchers from their staff earlier in the year. Most of their pitchers were cobbled together out of former position players. The fact that they basically equalled our pitching staff is a testament to just how much ours is lacking. We can saw we are good once we can actually expect to get out of a regional every couple years at least.
