Rules question

[Petal Eagle]

I notice I'm seeing more often linemen pushing a pile when a running back gets stacked up. I guess that's now legal, I didn't think it was. It was something we did in rugby and seems like something you'd want to do as much as possible if it's legal.

Please enlighten me.
