Southern Miss finished last season with a 40-21 record, winning the CUSA Tournament Championship, and making their 4th straight NCAA Regional. The 2020 version of the Golden Eagles will be a much different team than the ones that have taken the field at Pete Taylor Park in the past. Gone are the days of getting runners on base and then waiting on a Home Run or one of the power hitters to bring runs in. This season it will be time to say "hello" to the small ball game and the Eagle's commitment to it. Big Gold Nation recently got to sit down and talk to the Golden Eagle Head Coach Scott Berry on a range of topics. Everything from the new turf, schedule, who had really a good Fall ball, and what this team will look like next season.
