How incredibly sad! I still can't believe this happened!

Chicago....the military needs to take over that city....nearly as many people have died there as the Iraq war over the last several years. I don't get political but that often man this one hurts.

From the new information that I've read, it looked like a drive by shooting. He was the 377th victim this year, and I'm no math wizard, but that would put them pace for 600 for the year.

The city of Chicago is unable or unwillingly to curb the violence. After Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans was so violent the National Guard patrolled the city which helped to quell the violence.

I hope and pray that some good can somehow come out of this.

Now I read that Dwyane Wade's cousin was shot walking her baby in Chicago. The madness must stop. The US Army should take over this city like it did New Orleans after Katrina.

Houston, yes, former Illinois governor Pat Quinn signed a bill abolishing the death penalty and commuted the sentences of everyone on death row. Here's the NY Times story:
