We used to sign some serious talent from La. Here recently not so much. In fact, last seasons class is the first I remember in many years that we signed no one from La. We have 2-3 coaches hitting it hard there every year. Return on investment has been very poor lately. Tulane and La tech are killing us on kids we are offering in La. and particularly New Orleans area. Tulane has committed three we have offered in the past 10 days. Big Dlineman and LB's. We used to clean there clock over there. Their coach really knows how to sell it because they are still pitiful football program. Several weeks ago La Tech came into to our state and got a commit from one of the best Dlinemen in the state. Starkville's Lo Dantzler. We offered him, but he did not even visit. I sure hope winning some games changes how some of the kids think about us. Can't keep replenishing our roster with juco help. Gotta build a talent base that is here for the long haul. Sorry, just kills me to lose talent to those teams. Hell, I would be happy just getting one or two difference makers from La.
