It's always good to get out of the gate with a sweep, but let's not kid ourselves, Lafayette is not a very good club who finished 6th in a 1 bid league last season.
Bats were hot and cold. Too many times there were long spells of inactivity at the plate. That will get better as the season goes along. Lineup is much more potent than last season.
Pitching was good. Game 2 there were some issues late, but all the starts were solid and most relief appearances were good.
CF will be an issue for Oss to work out. Butler is a much better bat, but Cook is faster and better in the field. If Cook isn't leading off, with his speed, overall it might be better for Urban to play CF and use Cook late in CF or for pinch running.
We will definitely know more about this squad Tuesday, but for now, things look good.
